  1. I'm only going off what the commentators said. The vision of it isn't clear enough, is it not?
  2. I reckon he'll cop a decent fine but not get rubbed out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's not been suspended before so there's a bonus to begin with and they were open-handed slaps (intentional I know) with little impact. I think he'll play.
  3. Grimes has been dominating at Casey, playing the same brand of attacking footy the seniors are implementing. It's too convenient to remember JG's clangers under the older game style and not give him the opportunity to show his wares under the new. He deserves a game based on form alone.
  4. Grimes has been playing more on ball than half back. Wouldnt hurt having some experience down there for a change though - particularly against the Hawks.
  5. You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't bring effort, it means nothing. The times we've played well and executed the game plan, we've given great effort particularly forward defensive. Yesterday it was non-existent from what I viewed.
  6. I turned it off after qtr time and just checked the scores every 15 mins or so thereafter on the AFL app. It was like watching a WAFL game with the standard of play, the crowd, the ground, just the whole experience was second rate. I'll not bother watching the replay.
  7. Jones to be fined again.
  8. So who have we got left who's RS eligible? O'mac?
  9. Dee's by 34, Billy Stretch RS nom, slow roasted pork belly for lunch and a few froffies.
  10. I've had the same thoughts, AF. Carefully planned, beautifully executed and well masked (in a playing on your merits type sense). Thanks for articulating it in a concise manner.
  11. GCS will want a pick and an exchange mid. What's the point of losing one of their prime movers and replacing him with a green horn and an injury prone tall forward? I think we need to start getting used to the fact that some of our young onballers will be part of a deal to land any A grader, let alone Prestia.
  12. I cringed at that Age article. You're terrible.
  13. All avenues are blocked for me. Don't suppose one of you blokes could paste the article into a pm for me. Cheers.
  14. I'm a firm believer of the lack of development hindered a lot of players including Cale. Then again, I think sports scientists have worked out what body types will make it and which ones will not.
  15. Jake Spencer has him covered. I would dry retch for a week long if we traded anything for him.
  16. I remember when the last time the MFC drafted a Larke medalist who went on to get a rising star nomination. Here he is here: Here's the other one:
  17. Need a thread title update please! Well done, Christian.
  18. Given his style of play he'll need a rest at some stage. I'd prefer it not be against Port but at least we have Tyson, Trengove and Salem as replacements.
  19. Wingard is a seagull. Just hovers around the contest waiting for the ball to spill out.
  20. Have you got a man-bun?
  21. It's not thuggery. It's being proactive and flying the flag for teammates and the club - something we haven't seen for yonks and it's particularly pleasing to see the Skipper leading from the front in this regard. Agree with Vince though, he needs to keep that elbow from wandering or he'll go again for sure.
  22. Okay, let's give him a break but instead focus solely on the umpires inability to adjudicate it. The last thing we want to see is the sport become another 'Soccer-like' penalty seeking theatrics. I want to see players bullocking away from contests when tackles are applied. Umps need to start calling it out before the year is out.
  23. At least the AFL journo's are up to speed... "NEXT UP Melbourne travels to Darwin's TIO Traeger Park to face Port Adelaide next Saturday."
  24. Nick Reiwoldt-esque the way he covered ground and snagged goals today. Fair comparison?
