  1. Exactly. Geelong are no longer a powerhouse and we're no longer a basket case that will be flogged. It's a shame there's a lack of seats there that affects our support base but as far as winning or losing goes, we go in as favourites.
  2. That's your off-season MFCSS kicking in. Back on your meds.
  3. WTF? Looks like we're playing a Saturday game (and Tiges for that matter) and then need to back it up on the Wednesday for Anzac eve but the Pies and Bombers have been given extra 1 and 2 days recovery time for their Anzac day game.. I was certain we'd get a Friday game this round but I guess you've got to wear it every now and then if you want an Anzac fixture.
  4. It wouldn’t be a decision taken lightly and most likely would’ve been analysed by all levels of the clubs admin - the pros outweighing the cons. Anyway, it sure beats going to China.
  5. It will be 8 days when we play QB on Monday 10th June.
  6. That is uncanny.
  7. Planning on doing my first Alice trip this year too, Jim.
  8. I was thinking only Melbourne listed players but I like this.... much greater scope now. ?? It’s open slather for the whole AFL, players, coaches, administrators, et al.
  9. Prompted by the nicknames thread and for an off-season laugh, who can you see similarities in from the listed players? I'll kick it off with Christian Petracca and Hymie from Get Smart.
  10. It’s at the G which is great but fair dinkum I’m still pretty deflated by this. Bloody Port.
  11. It goes against the ethos the club is currently and successfully developing. "We're glad he's gone" are pretty strong words.
  12. I find this really unprofessional from an 'assistant coach' to make this statement, if true of course.
  13. Can I recall there being a rough plan to build admin facilities on the existing Gosch's/AAMI park precinct?
  14. Ding, nailing of picks aside, in all my time supporting this club I have never felt so comfortable that the development of every single player brought to the club via trade or draft, is in very good hands and clearly adds to the clubs appeal for prospective players such as and which was evidenced in May's comments. I was suspect of Weidemans potential earlier this year but his EF against Geelong put paid to any lingering suspicions. Without Hogan, I expect his progress to come along in leaps and bounds next season.
  15. Next time you’re over we’ll plan to meet at the Alby bar. I don’t think I left there much after quarter time of the prelim. Maybe for a pee.
  16. Ed: Thursday night footy on 18th April (my mistake thought Anzac eve was Thursday).
  17. Assuming we’ll have one or two home games there. Been that way for a while hasn’t it?
  18. I want the Geelong game to be a rd1 staple just like Carlton and Richmond. GCS in Darwin so we can send our reserves team up there instead of the B22 (assuming the NTexperient is set to proceed as reported). Good Friday night footy possibly before Anzac Eve on Thursday 25th. Maybe a Hawthorn for Good Friday?? Dockers at Optus - not WCE again.
  19. Considering she's duffed with twins, I'm thinking she won't be pulling on the boots for MFC next year. Lily Mithen?
  20. Went to footy training last night (our Spring High Intensity Training or 'S.H.I.T' program) and post training hydration was alive with trade talks. There were many Eagles supporters fuming that the Kelly trade didn't get done but there was even more Dockers supporters there that were fuming how they paid 'overs' for Hogan. General consensus was that they're already wary of his injury history and alleged 'off-field' behaviour. My guess is that if Hogan can't get it together over here for the Dockers, he will become a whipping boy for these lunatics. The messiah syndrome has been significantly amplified by his return to Perth and whilst he's now home with family and friends, I think he's in for a lot of scrutiny compared to what he experienced at the Dee's.
  21. I expect to see Gawn rest forward a lot more this year due to Preuss coming on board. Big Max floating in for clunks and Tom and Weed providing some good leads will be a mare for opposition to match up on. No need to look for another tall imo.
  22. [censored] Fremantle but they’ve come out smelling roses.
