  1. Naah. 68 year old wearing footy scarf totally approves.
  2. rapt - feeling great rapture or delight. Wrapped - covered with. But let's face it, footy fan sites are exempt from grammar, spelling and sometimes commonsense and that is part of their attraction,
  3. Provoked me to log in for the first time in years. Well done. Tulip went when it was his turn and often when it wasn't, backed into pack marks and was downright courageous. If it wasn't for his smarts he would have been steamrolled every match. I admire JW kicking skills and decision making apart from when the decision is 'don't think I'll go for that' which is too often.
  4. Whole defence played well and the only stat in PA's favour was goals from free kicks.
  5. I'm about 50 years behind in my reading viz a viz commenting on the lineup but the wineries look inviting. Say it ain't so, Jesse. Roger Daltrey more my era, likewise the movie which is older.
  6. My favourite Jaka goal was a scissor kick in the goal square that would have made Tim Cahill proud. Someone with better technology skills please post video.
  7. Could some of this discussion go to the Watts thread in the interest of a milestone approaching - 1,000 replies on a single player. Go team. :\)
  8. Congrats for persevering DOF. Like you I got on board in the 50's when the family came down from the bush and have stuck through all the years when it took a full phrase 'long suffering Demons supporter'.
  9. And Saints $1.92 with a line of 3.5 points. Load up on the line, shout for the mighty Dees, lubricate throat for the duration on account of the shouting. Win, win, win.
  10. In tennis terms:15 all, Saty's serve. Fair enough to have a different view but I don't think the personal attack is warranted. I for one appreciate Saty's input to the training reports.
  11. Can anyone tell me the Watts' situation? Goody mentioned Kent & Tyson as key missing players both pre and post match but no mention of the invisible man. Have I missed an injury report?
  12. The Plough is a relatively easy stumble away. Maybe 10 minutes.
  13. See Charlie@chumio in the comments to this article - http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/fans-furious-as-telstra-and-afl-live-pass-app-broadcast-shrinks-on-ipad-20170216-guf19n.html Easy.
  14. Bring back the Bailey(?) double huddle for kick in from points. A huddle just before centre and another around CHF. Fast spread to wings / flanks, confuse self and opposition simultaneously.. I always thought it was our most entertaining method of turning the ball over from kick in.
  15. ... and use the profit to buy 4 cans to stand on which was accepted procedure last time I was squeezed into suburban standing room.
  16. Previous ticketmaster experience dictates I refrain from headbutting brick wall but thanks for the thought
  17. Cost of technological incompetence - $15. Oh well. I'll look harder next time.
  18. Yep, member which I think gives you walk-up free entry but advised to pay for ticket to ensure entry if ground reaches capacity.
  19. $20 plus the fees. Standing room only. Now wondering where to get my 4 VB cans for personal grandstand circa 1970.
  20. Any relation to Laurie Mithen, premiership player and a teacher at Melbourne High where he famously went through a whole British History lesson accidentally substituting Grand Trunk Hotel for Grand Trunk Canal? I guess he had only drunk from one of them.
  21. I received the same approach as reported by others and have now received ticket and letter from Rod Grinter as Chairman MFC Past and Present Players and Officials Association. No real interest in the prize but I guess we could round up 24 guests from Demonland.
