I doubt he would go to Tomahawk for much of the game Steve. T-Mac surely with some chop outs from others on occasions. Hawk won't be able to go with T-Mac on the rebound but of course likely to win most of the one on ones if the Cats can get it to him quickly. Bit of a 50/50 if T-Mac can punish on the rebound effectively I reckon.

Everybody talking so much BULL on here....surely it's an omen!!!
-
He is a dead eye dick also HH.

I reckon Pedders will get his chance at some point JV. Not sure about this week tho given the venue and where his fitness/form is at
-
Not sure how they did at Casey but subject to putting in a decent performance..... - Kent for ANB for the extra pace and finish in front of goal - Bugg for Gus who just looks NQR for mine. - Vince for Lewis seems like a lay down - Tim Smith for Hulk - Pedders for Weids? but not convinced he is ready either. Prefer Weids in the medium term but he is still a fair way off holding down the 2nd string forward role and shouldn't be expected to at this point in his career. There's no way Weids & Watts (as our only Talls) along with a resting Big M, can carry that forward line alone and be effective IMO. A genuine forward is needed to provide structure and a target as well as be dangerous in front of the sticks from most angles. Tim Smith offers that plus he is handy on the lead and very hard to move off the ball. A medium tall that plays tall and small! This makes him a very tricky (valuable for us) match up on game day, although wouldn't be expecting miracles in his first up AFL game, just a solid competitive performance that helps feed the smalls.
-
If he played a half decent game at Casey he should come straight in big red. Is the best medium sized forward on our list by a country mile with buckets for hands and as accurate as Watts anywhere inside the arc. Accurate goal kicking = maximising forward 50 entries and scoreboard pressure.

Tim Smith Mgdee? How'd he go?

Hunt on Danger would be great to watch Maldon

Hopefully we can add Kent for Brayshaw and add to that speed problem dino

If he isn't right then there's no other alternative. We need to call in .....THE BULL!!

I like the overall strategy and the changes here with the exception of Frost. Dont think he is ready just yet and with Vince returning in the back half pushing forward i would rather have his experience and pressure here. Vince, Kent & Pedders. Pedders as the tall to replace Hoges who can also pinch hit in the ruck while Maxy rests forward. Need some tallness in the forward line for the quick long kicks out of the center or when under pressure up field.

I like your style bandicoot

This is nothing new for us. The AFL always hit the non-favoured clubs harder reynold. The AFL never changes its spots. We are easy pickings

Very consistent and one of the best at working his opponent away from or under the ball. Would just like to see him gradually add another string to his bow from here and start showing a little more run off his opponent/s occasionaly and taking the opponent game on a little more. Easy to say of course.

I would not be surprised if there was a little of that Gonzo. Which is ok as long as we win I also think Big M is NQR at the moment physically with the back issue that's been mentioned. Seemed to be off the ground more than usual today which saw Jack (and Clarry on one occasion ) having to take on the ruck duties a little more than Goody and crew would have been planning on, although that's just a guess on my part. Maxy being NQR seemed to play a significant role in Carlton getting on top in the center during parts of the 2nd & 3rd and early in the 4th. Cripps also had a pretty good run again here though, with the most clearances on the day. Some significant Kudos to our defence, who i thought did a very good job overall. Our team defence and zone/press also seemed to work quite well, albeit against a lowly rated opponent so too early to get overly excited.

He was starting to hit more lead up targets last year Skuit but i also think he has taken it to a higher level again in these first two matches. I am also loving his decision making so far this year. Seems to have matured to another level and knows the value of a quick deep kick inside 50 from the middle to the top of the square vs always trying to hit up a target by foot or hand when under heat. I suspect this is also a spin off from our improved mid field stocks in general. Results in a little less heat from opponents with more time/space to run off or away from congestion and lower the eyes for shorter passing options.
-
Or look further up the field as first option and possibly hit up a leading player who is well in front of his opponent (or completely free inside or out) instead of trying to squeeze so many cute kicks to a team mate who is well covered 20 meters away! Watts did both of these on different occasions which is kind of a reflection on how most of the boys went on the day. A little bit of 'on', followed by a little bit of 'off'.

Nice work Pro. So it's starting to appear we are...... - Still a somewhat inexperienced team vs most - More talented across the park than most - Sometimes prone to putting in a fairly ordinary performance, like today, (even for a quarter or two) while also putting in better performances at times like last week but not yet for four quarters. - Starting to find ways to win more often! If so we are more than likely going to gradually improve from here, albeit with a few hic ups along the way. Finals beckons, provided we can keep our core group of best 25 to 28 on the park.

One year ago that post would have made me VERY angry angry!

I saw a few dropping their heads OD, namely Cripps and Rowe ?

He had no JLT lead in guys. Was always going to be a little flat after his first up game against the Saints. He might also be recouping somewhat from whatever the reason was ? that kept him from getting a JLT Guernsey in the first place. I suspect he is just not quite at the match fitness level and touch we saw in 2016 but is still a much better user and deliverer of the pill when out in space than most even when half baked (fitness wise). Although I was disappointed he didn't see and hit up a loose Jeffy in the pocket at one stage when coming i50 in the last. He will be a whole lot better for this run in the next few weeks I reckon. He was one of at least half a dozen who helped win this match for us in the last and also kicked our first so I'm not complaining.

Haven't seen his "better than that" often enough so far I'm afraid Pates
-
I have to assume you hav never seen the famous "one inch" punch Ethan! All martial artists and wrestlers like Hulk Hogan know this move. He executed it to aplomb
-
Yes and making them press up will offer holes closer to goal for players like Trac to lead back in to. And i meant Salem re intercepts and telegraphing. Brayshaw a few also but apologies for the mix up. Apart from the first quarter Brayshaw and Weids habent done alot and Melkshams turnovers have hury a few times also. Viney a bit busier in that 3rd term but pretty quiet first Half. We will need a pretty amazing final quarter to win this me thinks. Have given the baggers a big sniff
