BZ new name... Oracle B

Yes! Without a doubt!

I think that depends on how much pressure the opposition bring and/or how clean we are at hitting targets and/or putting it to the favoured side of our forwards to run on to Uncle. If we continue to get a stack of ball inside 50 and lower our eyes a fair bit, then the small medium forwards you mentioned will get their chances and hopefully take them. We also have Tracc who can play tall but with the agility of a medium small. Very hard to match up on and keep quiet, especially when we kick well. I would agree with you about Pedo but he needs to be "on" more often in a match. Seems to go missing for a quarter here or there and occasionally a big chunk of a match like last week. Conditions in 2nd half probably didn't suit him however. The other issue is by not having Pedo in a CHF role, it kind of forces the mids and others bringing the ball in to work a bit harder at lowering eyes and trying to find a target, rather than just doing the easy bomb which we have tended to do too much of in the past. The flip side is that we might need to bomb it in more often when playing a better team than Norf in the coming weeks that are better at putting pressure on in the middle etc which then suggests Pedders needs to be in at CHF. When Pedo is "on" he is still handy and can bring the ball to the feet of the smalls as well as taking the relief ruck duties for Maxy. I would wait for him to find form at Casey though before bringing back. If he does knock the door down i would be looking at Melksham who appears to be a tad off his best for mine at the moment. But that could change in the next week or so also!

Was wondering the same thing Dr. That was a huge blunder early in the match. Thankfully the brains trust switched him outta there after the 2nd or 3rd straight kick in where he hit up a Norf player. Also, why would you have a player you recruited as an intercept player not out in the field of play to intercept (attempt to spoil) a miss kick or hopefully get on the end of a kick in as another tall target for the designated kicker? Nev, Vince & Salem only pls. Hibberd i havent seen enough of in this role yet to have any confidence but seems another likely go to.

A few of some of the other (alleged) coach favs.... Score Involvements Tracc 13 Lewis 12 Kent 11 ANB 10 Gawn 10 Hogan 9 Bugg 9 Intercepts Hibberd 10 Lever 9 Frost 7 Jetta 7 Kent 4 Tackles i50 Jeffy 3 ANB 2 Harmes 2 Kent 1 Vince 1 Bugg 1 Turnovers Bugg 6 Lever 6 Vince 5 Tracc 5 Tyson 5 Melksham 5 Our best Disposal Efficiency for the year @ 75.3% (AFL average usually around 73%). Hitting targets more often by foot hopefully! Seemed to be the case when watching anyways and seemed to happen off and on for the entire match rather than dropping off half way etc.

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 3
Demon Dynasty replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6. Gawn 6. Hogan 4. Lewis 3. The Jones Boy 2. Kenty 1. Tracc Apologies to Bugg, Salem & Wags -
Nicholls was an angel in comparison. I never normally notice which umpire or umpires are having an influence against us apart from Razor. No.26 put a huge target on his back with today's horribilis
-
No.26 ...AGAIN!!! This guy should never umpire another AFL match. Must barrack for Nth, hate the MFC or be on the take. No other explanation for his abysmal performance against us today.
-
Oscar held his own early with some pressure up the field helping and a bit of an extra or two at the drop but one on one Sideshow had him on at least 3 occasions. This is where Omac worries me as he should be able to stand toe to toe and win about 50% of one on ones by now in that particular situation. Still not quite there yet. Also towards the end, not to handball to Frost deep in the pocket showed a lack of awareness to me. Give it to Frost who would no doubt get immediately tackled, but wont be called for holding and probably get it over the line, and Waite doesn't get that cheapy at the end. Has improved since early days and more solid than previously up the field when the ball hits the deck but still a WIP one on one when isolated IMO.
-
You can add me to the list re Bugg. Can you blame anyone, his record until today was up there with the worst of all time
-
I was down Punt rd end with cheer squad and just assumed he would be going back to put that through. Next second Norf are bringing it out of their backline. I still don't know what happened!
-
He literally towelled him up R&B. What a performance from the big fella today. Was in everything.
-
Best performance in the Red & Blue for mine.... waited a while for that one but great timing!
-
Excellent work Jib
-
Not only did we win.....we stuck the trident a long way up!! I can finally say we now have ourselves a genuine AFL football team that can run with the top 6! And no Norf isn't that but that was the biggest hoo doo in the AFL and we just wiped it clean! The LID is well and truly off guys!!!!
-
No.26 was way worse BB. Would rate up there as one of the worst performances ever, mostly non-decisions though so he will not be scrutinised. Should be sent to a country league for 12 weeks!
-
Salem, Kent, Jesse, Frosty, Lewis, Maxy & Clarry great quarter
-
Oscar losing the big battle. Frost to Brown...Omac to Waite ASAP. Again no demon front and square at marking contest!
-
Get Nibbler off FCS....having a mare!
-
We still have too many talls going up, we bomb it way too often instead of into space of favoured side. Great example the kick to tracc for that big banana. Still lapses where there is no crumber front and square except a norf player. The choices/method coming insIde 50 still needs a fair bit of work but that quarter was an improvement and looked a little like the first quarter ftom last week
-
Very solid so far especially that 3nd quarter. Frost not looking too bad apart from the horrible shank also. Salem looks right out of it when they have the ball and appears to have an inferior tank. Opponent running off him with ease
-
How Norf players have taken opponents on, then tackled and made either no attempt to get rid of it or disposed incorrectly. How many have dragged ball in or just sat over or on it making no genuine attempt. None called!!! WTF is this game? I dont recognise it until they call them against us of course
-
If we dont win this big or win it its because our forwards (Jesse aside) lack the tank/stomach? for the chase from inside our 50 and our unwillingness to cover the middle of the ground from their run off HB. The Hawks will kill us if we give up the middle like this
-
Again too many at the drop both in ball ups and marking contests. No one moving at the bounces except Jones a little and Maxy himself on the follow up. Why is Lever kicking in and not Nev/Salem. Free up Lever to cover his man or offer a tall target up field!!! Has kicked it straight to Norf on at least 3 occasions so far. Jesse's workrate AAA that quarter!
