  1. Clarrrrrrrrrŕrrŕrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy!!!!!
  2. A rare stoppage i50 ...and a goal from Ed your fricken beauty son!
  3. JJ two very poor kicks in this last few minutes
  4. How was that not a free to Ed for front on contact!
  5. Kozzie should take as many of the kick in marks as possible. We've given them far too much acreage off that kick in far too often for most if this match
  6. Clarry best for us by a mile
  7. Clarry everywhere this quarter and taking over in the middle and around stoppages. The Barometer and quite often the difference in many tight matches.
  8. Great follow up work from LJ there! Exactly what's needed up forward
  9. Will Tracc ever learn to go back and assess before automatically rolling onto his right so often and looking to hit up a ghost inside 50 and/or putting himself under pressure. Both him and Clarry need serious work on their craft around the arc, coming inside 50 and shooting at goal from about 40 meters and closer on a set shot (mostly Clarry in this last dept). Very nice goal from Tracc on the Arc there
  10. Spoke too soon! Maxy. Crappy effort from Ed also
  11. Good to see Gawny learned from his previous deep defending effort and punched instead of trying to mark on the last line
  12. Yep especially in our forward half. Kozzie & Spargod rarely sighted. Both having a mare need to get VERY busy in the second half.
  13. May simply has to stay on Tex. He's their outlet kick down the line and one of the best kicks coming inside 50. Petty on him is gifting them an opportunity to stay in it and/or win the match.
  14. Will come down to one of Weid or BB. Can't see both if all of Tmac, LJ & Big M are in. We only saw them both in last week as LJ was out. You can't afford to have 4 talls inside 50, two of which bring very little closing speed/pressure on their opponent when we lose possession, one has almost no impact at ground level and one of them has zero impact as a relief ruck and gets easily pushed off the ball. Balance is critical in a good team and so far we've had it in spades. Stick to the winning formula i say.
  15. Thanks Biff. I heard this announced by Kane post 10am news and then missed due to work comittments. Had trouble finding it on the SEN app.
  16. 58er there's more than half a season to go! On Gus i agree with much of what you have highlighted. However, does he offer enough going the other way offensively with ball in hand i wonder? That would be my only issue at this stage but it's only a question i'm putting out there. Not saying he doesn't either but that's a perception i have at times when observing.
  17. Was thinking same watching the VFL last night Mr Leg. I don't mind it at all. Has shown some genuine class and toe in patches. Hopefully he's on our radar for consideration. My only issue on the other wing (assuming that's what he might be considered for) is his height? Not sure where he's at there.
  18. I'm not sure how you arrived at some of these view points ATBG. There isn't that much difference in their career accuracy at goal. BB 59.8% Weid 52.9% Stats aren't everything but they are a rough guide given enough matches to compare. To date, in pretty much every career average, BB either has the Weid well and truly covered or marginally ahead. Including... ? Marks inside 50... 2.3 to 1.4 ? Inside 50 Ground Ball Gets...1.3 to 0.8 ?Ground Ball Gets ... 2.5 to 2.3 ? Contested Marks....1.6 to 1.3 ? Marks on a lead ...1.6 to 0.7 ? Shots at goal...3.7 to 1.9 ? One percenters ? Contested Possessions ?Uncontested Possessions ?Shots at Goal .... 3.7 to 1.9 ?Goals... 2.2 to 1.0 ?Score involvements ... 5.4 to 3.8 ?Tackles inside 50 ... 0.6 to 0.5 ?Pressure Acts... 7.9 to 6.8 ?Hit outs to advantage ...0.5 to 0.3 There are a few neck and neck results, such as Tackles inside 50 (see above) and goal assists (level pegging). The one area where Weid is ahead... ? Tackles (general) ...1.3 to 1.1 Fair to say Weid would want to get moving from here with some consistent solid performances. https://www.afl.com.au/stats/stats-pro#/Compare?playerIds=CD_I291867,CD_I993806&comparisonTab=h2h
  19. Chandler worked his butt off for that look last week. Ok so it wasn't the greatest entre' we've ever seen but when you're in a position to give a few opportunities to those knocking on the door, replacing a fringe or out-of-form player against an oppo that's not highly rated at present, then i don't mind it. Gives those knocking a bit of a taste and a small window for them see what's required to reach the next level and stay there. Also ensures those above stay on their toes and don't rest easy. Gives others at Casey hope that they might get a look in as well if they persevere and keep pushing hard to improve. While i'm not saying we flirt with multiple changes every week just for experiment sake, the odd minor adjustment when the opportunity allows, should make for a very healthy competitive "winning" culture.
  20. Surely that rest of the year issue is just a giant speed/agility ladder for the likes of Gawny, BB & LJ. Those three could still train at the G in cricket's off season!
  21. You must have watched a different game to me RG. I thought both were pretty ordinary in this regard with BB just a smidgen ahead. Barely though.
  22. Part of.the reason we are winning is we are one of the best pressure teams going around. We.may still win going tall but personally if you do you risk losing a fair chunk of this asset IMV. BB & Weid already bring very little of this at ground level. Experimenting too much might tip us over the edge in coming weeks and the Doggies loom large the week after travelling. As they say..."When you're on a good thing"... Don't flirt with form
  23. Weighted Average Scores up to & including Rnd 9 , 2021 vs 2019 Ed the big mover at the top end this week, leapfrogging Tracc into 4th spot for the season so far. Hunt, Jordan, T-Mac and Rivers also on the move! Clarry still a fair way out in front with Salem & May holding the next two places, both having been there for a few weeks now. Maxy losing a little bit of touch with the top five, dropping three places since reaching his highest No.3 ranking in round six. Of course there are no hit outs to advantage included in his score so one could argue he might be sitting at approx No.3 (and may have been around 2nd/3rd at the end of round 6 also). Interesting to see Chunk & Spargo both on exactly the same average score. Crazy stuff. 25. Ditto on both counts. Will take himself and us to another level if he could finish more often coming inside 50 and shooting at goal. Also would like to see him avoid the blind over head handball backwards pls. Somewhere near a red and blue flashy thing running around forward of the contest would be nice
