  2. Rnd 22, 2021 MCG - Demons vs Crows Our 2nd best conversion rate for the year only behind our Rnd 7 match vs the Kangas Disposals Per Goal 23.4 % In50s Goal 30.8 Conversion % 69.6 This Rnd Disposals Per Goal 22.0 % In50s Goal 27.1 Conversion % 66.7 Not getting overly excited with this win both from what i saw and statistically. The team score only 6.5% better than our average team score in 2019 which was a horrid season against one of the worst teams in the AFL this season is a real worry for mine. Having said that we were missing two of our best players (on their day) in Macca and May so still a fair amount of upside. The three under performers / disappointments for mine, especially given how we lost to the Crows last time were Gus, Sparrow & Melk. The two big positives that came out of today for me were Lingers and Salem who appear to be back to somewhere near their best. And then Dogga, who seems to have gone to another level since his match against the Suns and must be a shoe in for the Rising Star surely. When was the last time an MFC player kicked 7? 3. Gus is having a shocker....lazy lazy lazy. Baker next week pls
  4. Pressure or lack thereof inside 50 today is abysmal
  5. Been awful as has Sparrow
  6. Needed the extra pre season though Chook. Multiple leads, strength in contest and ground ball follow up. Might play in our favour now touch wood.
  7. Been the difference at stoppages and contested ground ball so far
  8. Nice work in the clinches there... Lingers going ok just wish he'd stop bombing it. Nice finish from Dogga & BB
  9. Hand is nowhere near it in that second shot....easy goal decision
  10. Spargo should almost always look to dish off if he is not within 30 meters or less like that one
  11. Spargo,your angle was better...be smarter son
  12. Seedsman running hot like last time. Stick Harmes on him at stoppages pls
  13. I don't get this signing. Havent seen him stick his hand up at VFL level to this point. Also appears to be injury prone in a big way. White is a better player in every aspect at VFL level for mine on his day (also has the occasional off game) and he's not on our list. Could be a late bloomer but surely there's plenty of high end talented alternatives out there to fill his place?
  14. I doubt it Mr Leg. The AFL will want as many stars up and running as possible me thinks. They've already taken too many hits in this pandemic.
  15. That's obvious Mr Old. Subliminally your predictor also hates that awful abbreviation. Tip: Use 'DEMONS' instead FTW! 😁
  16. Yes this would seem to be extra important now that the buy is likely to be scrapped
  17. Series 589, Episode 5, Sept 2175 (Above: TonE Robinson aka CyborgClonE Model BLDRIK-188) In this enthralling episode it's time to take a look back at old Melbourne where we focus on an area once collectively known as Yarra, Melbourne & Collective (Olympic/AAMI) Parks (YMCA) district, when it was once a thriving bustling sporting precinct early last century. In this episode our legendary and most knowledgeable host, TonE , walks us through the entire precinct. With particular focus on the sacred sporting grounds prior to the abolition of contact sport (2045) and resulting demolition of this former precinct by Australia's largest political party of the time, Australian Society of Inclusiveness and Conservation (ASIC) in conjunction with other influencers (such as the respected and still functioning local Richmond district's LESMOKAFATONE+), circa 2048. Of course now known as the New Flora, Fauna & Fungi (incorporating Injecting Site) Inclusion (NFFFI) District, officially opened over 100 years ago on 5 Nov 2050...See More Gosch's Paddock YMCA district, undergoing a major upgrade... 18. Think he may have been a slim chance a few games ago at Casey when he was BOG but unfortunately did his calf. He would have needed to follow up with a solid hit out against the Dogs in the last Casey match. However aside from Munro and a few cameos from others almost every MFC player flopped badly in that one. And that was probably the end of that for Chunk. Would love to see him given one more chance but only if fully fit and tearing up the track (vs other competitors he is on a par with or even marginally ahead of ie; Sparrow & AVB).
  19. So Hibb for Hunt. Would have liked to have seen Baker in for AVB for this match at least. Gus plays AVB's minutes in the middle. Baker covers Gus's wing for this match. If Gus goes down between now and finals or in finals i would be reluctant to look at Baker with only one AFL match under his belt many months ago. Like to see how his disposal goes under AFL heat as well. One of the quickest in the team, he could also (potentially) play the Hunt role (in the short term) if Hibb goes down as a last resort until Hunt returns.
  20. Worst case scenario assuming we come out of lockdown with 3 to 4 weeks to go to the GF, why can't those who are fully vaxed be able to attend to about 50% capacity? I don't get why this isn't even being considered. About 50% of Vic will be fully vaxed by mid Sept
  21. With approx 6 weeks to go to the GF surely we "could" be well out of lockdown by then and back to say 50% crowds? I realise things need to be arranged well before then but how long do they need prior to the GF? Whether we are in the big dance or not, even if things aren't perfect (Covid / lockdown wise) and it needs to be planned / organised ASAP for logistics / commercial/ catering / accommodation purposes plus the bubble. Surely we can have a crowd of fully vaccinated (members first then the general public) attend the big one including security / catering staff and officials etc? If not, why not?

  24. I think AVB and Sparrow's spots might be up for grabs Buck Jones & Baker maybe until Viney returns? However, so far there's been zero interest for those two from Goody & Co so i might be the only one that thinks that. Agree Melk seemed to do just enough to hang in there. Would just like to see him pressure more (effectively) in general without ball in hand. Pretty clean in the wet so will do his confidence pretty good. Let's hope he can maintain the rage as i personally think he can make a big difference with delivery inside 50 and an extra avenue to goal at the pointy end. Edit: just saw that Hunt is out so that leaves a spot for Hibb. Lockhart also?
