  1. Hope so RF... major change ups needed if we're to stay in touch and hopefully snag one soonish
  2. The Filth by 3 to 5 goals unfortunately
  3. Yes makes sense Sue. Good idea
  4. A little yes but i reckon they prepped for this after the 2020 loss to the Tiges. Injected some run into the team. And also got Cameron courtesy of the AFL. Mind you the same thing helped the Tigers get their back to back with Lynch coming across to a premiership team lol. The AFL are lead by a shameless bunch of incestuous boys' club tossers.
  5. Poorly managed back half
  6. Where's Dilmot!!!????
  7. Think the Filth will be in it
  8. Only way we would've done ok in the Prelim is to have beaten the Swans and go straight in getting the week break i reckon
  9. Where's the fricken whistle for not coming to the 9 against Brisvegas then? Kozzie got the whistle, zero warning then "FIFTY' ...no warning
  10. Geelong run in support as soon as they get the pill. They all gut run and dinky the ball forward, but, drawing the player in front or beside them just before they give so the next receiver is in the clear. We were doing a bit of that last season but not much run and not many clean chains this season. Hope Goody and the boys are watching. Learnings!
  11. Yes that's the sort of ball user you want running into 50. Aside from Spargo, we wouldve kicked that straight to the Brisdonk player ahead of Hawkins on the Arc.
  12. Berry as well. Thought he was some sort of king pin after scragging Oliver last week. Then there's that nong nong Dilmot
  13. Brisvegas the worst team to make a FINAL since...... Elimination Final 2012: North Melbourne 9.12.66 defeated by West Coast 24.18.162
  14. 😄 makes a great commander. She's still saying how stupid we were playing LJ for the second half of the season. Reckons it was like giving a pay rise to an employee who's told you they're finishing up at the end of the year. Said he wasn't committed to the club and that's how he played on match days. Should have gotten games into other player/s.
  15. Wrong in what way though THBT?? My gut feel tells me they MIGHT have gone too hard too early (built them up to a mad level of top end fitness) leaving many spent by the time we got to round 12ish. Goodwin's poor player management in the second half of the season exacerbated this overkill pre-season prepping. Big emphasis on 'might have' and pure speculation on my behalf.
  16. I said to the war office... 10 goal drubbing to the Cats tonight. She laughed and said "nah" 😄
  17. Some ordinary player management in this regard with so many players. Plenty of learnings for SG to ponder over the break from this season. Lots of improvements to aspects of the line up, system and methods if we're to improve on this season.
  18. Nice TT. Will have to introduce some decent run into this team as well. Too many plodders and mature players that can't go with the opp when they put speed on the ball and ahead of the ball. And with ball in hand we need some players more willing to roll out and take the game on, with better kicking skills to hit targets when they do. If we can gain some run (spread) and better ball users we can also stretch and waste the oppo's energy by using the switch more effectively and often. The 'two can play at that game' method is also a viable strategy. After zapping them of their energy on the switch (as many did to us to great effect this season), later in games you can then start to exploit the corridor more effectively. Going more direct = speed into 50 and better looks for our forwards. Having said that we also need better forwards. If we run roughly the same line up into next season... you and i will be putting up similar post mortems this week next season.
  19. Not a bad article but it's not a draw it's a fixture. It's constructed / designed by the AFL to try and foster / induce their preferred teams and outcomes to max revenues.
  20. MVP 2022 Finals Thanks DZ. We weren't that far off as you say. However, these stats suggest we played a couple of our worst games for the season unfortunately. Almost feels like another Prelim 2018 for mine given we came into the finals with the second chance and a top two finish. Anyway on to DD's MVP of the finals award! And no surprises as to who got the chocolates! Imagine if he didn't go into the Semi banged up and coming off the broken thumb issue. May & Harmes deserve some kudos as well. Petty not far behind in 4th. Pretty much daylight the rest really...
