CASEY: Rd 14 vs Geelong
Can anyone explain why Shannon Neil was awarded a free at the 24 min mark of the third when he went up against Deakyn in a 1 v1?? Deakyn had front berth and both hands went up for the mark? Incredible. Lucky Neil's kick for goal was only a minor. If anyone can think of a reason after reviewing it i'd genuinly be interested in your thoughts.

Small mercies = Fritter's clear
Big call Macca. Thought it was the wrong call all the way. There was no malice or force in the sling at all. Both went to ground together. On the night i figured either HTB or a ball up. The MRO agreed and would normally go the other way if they thought there was any degree of 'dangerous'. The ump's call was proven to be wrong in the end.

NON-MFC: Rd 15 2023
Free kick Freo tonight. How was that not a mark to Stringer? Freo very hard to beat over there as they've taken the mantle as the ump's favourite from WC.

2 meter's had a mare tonight I love how the ump called advantage earlier but then when it didnt become advantage he quickly changed his mind. Unlike Chandler's ridiculous advantage call which should also have been called back

Are we banged up again?
We havent been good in the wet or even slippery conditions all year Red. 15 matches in & we are still one of the worst teams going around under these conditions. I could possibly forgive this somewhat if we played a wet weather style game under these conditions. That we had 80+ more handballs tells the tale. Very poor coaching and not sure what the more senior players are up to here either. It's like we are instructed to play one way only regardless of conditions. Anyone who's played footy, even to high school level, knows you have change things up a little, especially over use of handball and getting this balance right in the wet. This should be happening prior to the match with players training it for a stint, at least once during the week, where forecasts show [censored] weather is highly likely.

Are we banged up again?
That is correct. Obviously turnovers in general will be higher on a wet night. However Tracc was the worst of either team with a massive 10 turnovers. Not far behind was Sparrow with 8. He wasn't alone though with Bowes & Stewart also coughing it up 8 times.

Some nice highlights there thanks AF. Yes i've also been critical in some matches where i felt his VG work was being under mined by some horror turnovers in the worst parts of the ground. I wasn't in any state to take notice of anyone's game in particular on Thurs night but it looks like a number on here are seeing this one of his best. The turnover count is down as you have highlighted which is great to see and the part of his game that needed tightening up. As Bin mentioned this would appear to be a break out year for the young defender with a big improvement on his 2022. Taking a bit of a look at his best ratings so far (discounting the Eagles game a little given the way they've been traveling)... Rnd 4 vs Eagles > 5.550 (ranked 2nd behind Clarry) Rnd 9 vs Hawks > 5.150 (ranked 1st ahead of Clarry & Tracc) Rnd 13 vs Magpies > 3.675 (ranked 4th behind Viney, Salem & Gus) and of course this latest result which you have highlighted.

PREGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
Yep pretty intense when it starts to arc up LS. Full quota of meds before it backs off a little. The meds don't kick in straight away either so alot of squirming going on before that. My pooch is getting freaked out lol. Even more worrying for me overnight is i only have one opioid left ahhh! Might have to P.M. McQueen for an assist!!

Woe should be debuting this week. If he doesn't Goodwin has lost his marbles.

Especially the speckie. Moniz had a mare that quarter. Decision making and disposal very ordinary resulting in a number of relatively straight forward chains that should have resulted in some nice looks inside 50. Consistency hasn't developed alot this season. Showes promise in patches but more often than not it's one step forward then two back. This happens with young players but at this level i figured he would be a little further along than he appears at present.

Exactly. I knew the umps would pull a few outta their derriere in the last to give the Cats the momentum. We needed to have capatilised earlier and been up at least 3 goals or so to have any chance in the last. That's how i saw the tackle at the time and was lambasted by someone on game day thread saying Fritsch would get weeks. The umps are so predictable at Tax Payer Park.
