  1. Yes...the bulk of that from three out of five games Roost. as soon as serious pressure comes on things don't appear to hold up so well ....pretty much across the park (so far).
  2. My gut feel is it was for 10+ years 'consecutive" members only. If so that would be pretty sad i reckon I have at least 35+ years of memberships (plus all the other side gigs like sponsoring a win / raffles / merch etc) in total so far outside of barracking time of 50+ I'd have at least 6 to 8 years of DA memberships now as well (no mention of this day in their emails either). No doubt others would have even more than that (non-consecutive).
  3. Pressure up forward to lock it in more often though Dr? Think general pressure / tackling at times may also have been off vs 2021 through mid way 2022 When i talk about these aspects its more about the body of work over about the last 6 months of matches. Agree re mids vs Brissy.... def smashed there first half Not sure of numbers vs the stoners Not worried about def once Lever & Max are back but obviously any time both are out and with May appearing NQR we look pretty vulnerable. In fact anytime one of those three are out we seem to get beaten unless im imagining things. Not every time of course but feels more often than not.
  4. In Lethal's interview with Goodwin, Lethal said we were No.1 in the league for set shots with an accuracy of 66% so far this season. Probably well known by many on here already but Goodwin confirmed we have stepped things up in this area with Choco taking over the goal kicking skill sessions from Stafford this year.
  5. Hey if the sticky pads were red and blue.... i'm down!
  6. I assume you mean a medium/tall interceptor / spoiler to replace like for like or close to it GtG. Am i right in saying the only realistic list option at this point that fits the bill is Disco? And he's probably still two to three games away at the very least. Would also need to tick all the boxes at Casey.
  7. That's pretty much exactly what Tracc said today
  8. There are also holes in our D anytime one or more of May, Lever or Max are out. The Demon stonewall and mid dominance (until lately) can't (and won't) be the mainstay of our wins forever. At some stage the forward line has to step up....consistently.
  9. That's a worry for both players. May's averages are off 22% so far this season vs 2022. Hopefully nothing too serious here on the health/fitness front.
  10. I havent paid enough attention to Bowey to give an objective view here Bubs but the turnover & clanger stats suggest he's rated very low on both counts. Turnover averages to Rnd 5 indicate he is only bettered by one other (so far part-time) defender here in Petty...who has the lowest turnover ave in the team. Out of 25 players that have played at least two matches or more Bowey's ranked 8th lowest @ 2.4 per match
  11. Err....ummm.... not sure whether i should agree with you on this one or not! 😄
  12. Developing quite rapidly W, particularly from 2nd half of last season onwards from what im seeing. His game at the hanger on Sunday, more so his second half, was outstanding for mine and along with Harmes i felt he was the difference on the day. Laurie & Dunstan also impacted. Im assuming you saw this one anyway but just my view. Would say he's not that far away (as in another pre-season or so to build up the extra strength/running) but could also push up to the AFL now for short stints off the bench in the odd game here & there as long as he wasn't being asked to play every game for half a season or so. Similarities to McInerney IMHO.
  13. Agreed... hanging out to watch him live. Game's obviously changed a fair bit from back then DOF. Alot less space to lead into. So much defensive running going on now. Jakovich was pretty quick over the first 10 - 20 meters also if my memory serves me well. May take a season or two to build a tank but there's certainly something there. Time will tell where that something goes eh.
  14. A 9 day break though Macca...plenty of time for the boys to recoup... even Reg
  15. Oh well all i recall was we were kicking to the Punt Rd end with 5 minutes left and only a few points in it. Pretty sure i woke up at that point or the dream changed haha. If someone was sending a message it's a pretty cruel message.
  16. Welcome back Bubs! 3 years of self exile..... im not sure this lame duck thread was the best place to make a grand (return) entrance however Surely the NoT$no B$, Parking at the G, Suburban Map and Penfolds Wines (among others) would have been more fitting!!
  17. So far in season 2023 - Ranked equal 4th lowest turnover player (out of 29) based on match averages (excludes Laurie who has not played a full match yet)... 18. Neither was i LH... that's why those come backs are too little too late (in most cases). You have to arrest the carnage asap and start turning the tide as early as possible. An attempt at a come back from say 15 to 20 minutes to go into the last is not addressing the elephant in the room. Patchwork and honourable losses don't cut it for mine and playing in that manner, even every third game or so, is more than likely masking over ugly issues that lie deep at the heart.
  19. LH if you go back over past results for many decades, any team that ends up down 3 goals or more, even very early in a match (1st quarter), the odds say you are most likely going to lose the vast majority of those matches. 5 goals in the first and the odds become alot worse. 7 goals at any stage of most matches, but especially post the first quarter, is pretty much game over. That's not to say amazing come backs don't happen. See our final round vs the Cats in 2021. But the chances are super slim. I would suspect most AFL coaches and crew worth their salt would be well aware of this with alarm bells ringing once an oppo gets up 3 goals or more early on. Some minor adjustments happening as a result. 7 goals down they would (in most cases) be throwing options B & C out the door and hitting the "throw caution to the wind" (all out attack) option to give the boys any chance of coming back (in most cases). Possibly something similar happened late in the Brissy match.
  20. And he just made it even bigger
