Rivers....kick it forward when you're surrounded like that. Instead tries to pick it up, doesn't get to it, then decides (too late) to try and kick it off the ground.

A VG last quarter against the peptides. Just needs a few pre-seasons and about 8 years in the gym and he'll be right to go.

Disco by the length of the Flemington He can play back whenever. He knows that role by heart. Our D is solid with or without him provided T-Mac comes back in. Not sure why he was dropped in the first place. For one match as a managed option i get. But not permanently as Simon has done. Another one of his perplexing decisions that ends up biting us on the arzzz. We simply can't / don't kick enough goals given the amount of entries we have. While Disco won't be the panacea to our woes, every little bit helps. Petty and T-Mac (for Lever) will easily cover off down back. At least for the rest of this season anyways. Alternatively Lever for Petty. Whichever works on the day with match ups between those two (Lever or Petty, not both). T-Mac should be a permanent fixture in this team bar the odd 'managed' game. Start blooding Adams or at least seeing what he brings for Petty before year's end. No brainer.

I only saw the first half DZ so i'll take your word for it re Josh etc. Certainly sounded like we kept kicking it in straight lines to the advantage of the likes of Howe & Moore. Bringing it in in panic and in straight lines is one of my biggest irks when watching this team. We occasionally show glimpses that we are getting it. Changing angles, lowering vision and hitting up leading or free targets but then too often revert back to the former. Super frustrating that we're now past our third season of doing this and also still haven't found a dangerous tall KF. As much as i admire the effort i'm just too frustrated to keep watching now. Generational waste of some super talent on this list and so many gettable / winnable games (finals opps) being wasted before our very eyes.

Thanks mate. Going 'all in' isn't usually my gig on most rookies and no gtees any of them will make the step up but there was 'special' written all over young Kozz from the get go. And yes all credit to him and the club to getting where he is now. Just needs to mature a tad, eliminating the undisciplined non 'team' slip ups from here (not alone... looking at Fritta et al) and we're looking good.

The Pies approx two seasons of experience ahead of ours on the day. Their Team Rating a long way ahead of ours with the Pies having 7 of the top 10 rated players. Turnover Kings... Sparrow Langford, Rivers, Allan Quaynor, Sidebottom, Big Max Stopped Nick but Josh got off the leash. Our highest rated player was Clazz... THIS Club is way too subservient and meek. Easy push over which starts at the top. It's no wonder we get rolled in the big games by officials on and off the field. Club just doesn't stand up and fly the flag.

He eventually wakes up but usually once the game looks to be gone. Not proactive enough and far too often fails to see the holes / gaps / potential moves that could win you the game early enough

Turner up forward for Petty pls Simon.... for the 100th time You won't win too often with that set up. You might have a chance with the alternative.

This is true but a decent Tall forward (or more) should be able to win the odd 50 / 50 in contested marking when the ball's coming in like that. Instead all we have is Max on the odd occasion he's pushing forward. But he can't kick goals either.

There's a few others here that think the same also Mr Fence! Easily pleased. I feel sorry for the rest of the team up the field as we have nothing dangerous on offer (Tall forward wise) up forward

He sums up the MFC to a T. Gets to the right places and gets on the end of a few but presents Zero threat with ball in hand. Offers so much but far too often disappoints with disposal and decision making.

Regardless of what people say, Clarry's still our best INSIDE mid (when his mind's switched on) in terms of clearance, distribution and chaining out from congestion. Not hitting the heady heights of 2017 - 2023 very often now but still our best mid. We're missing the extra rotation / hardness that Viney brings at the contest also. Not his delivery i50 though 😅

He's not allowed to play foward Mr Fence because Petty's doing such a great job and Disco's so valuable propping up our flakey D

Can't take a contested mark i50 or kick a goal to save themselves. Only chance you've got is get Petty & Fritsch outta there and leave Kozzy, Turner and Melk down there. Run the ball in, change angles and don't bomb ...and / or mids kick the goals themselves
