If Clisby gets more weeks than C. Brown then...

Man the AFL MRP can get stuffed. I bet Brown challenges and gets off. Typical garbage from an inconsistent and poorly managed system. -

Not severe enough of a punishment, but at least it got reviewed and punished. Players like Brown have no place in our game. If he wants to be a gutless [censored] he can go somewhere else. Talk about small man syndrome. -
Umm pretty sure that when you get [censored] and smack Ben Holland, your teammate, in the face, you deserve to get the sack. Somehow I don't think our backline of Frawley, Garland and McDonald are feeling the loss of Carroll.
-
One of the greatest footy moments of all time, was Carroll tackling and injuring Gehrig in that final. Absolute gold. Sadly, his fall from grace since then mirrors that of our club. The good old days of us being actually mediocre, and our biggest worry being Ben Holland's goal kicking.

If Brown is not booked for that disgusting kick on Strauss, then the AFL points system is an even bigger joke than I thought. That was as deliberate as it gets, he flicked his leg up for absolutely no reason other than to harm Strauss. Maybe he didn't mean to get him in the face, but he definitely meant to hurt him and bring him down in the contest. A filthy, cheating scumbag. Always has and always will be a pr!ck.

Never was in my opinion. Sylvia is the cherry on top of the cupcake. But when the cupcake is made of horse poo, and the cherry looks shiny but tastes awful, it becomes irrelevant.

And it would be the best value for money entertainment you'd get watching Melbourne play.

DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR - Round 20
Jaded No More replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6. McKenzie- stellar job on Ablett 5. Jones- no words 4. Viney- sensational 3. Spencer- helped the midfield enormously 2. Watts- someone who can hit a target by foot! 1. Garland- did a great job on Ablett when he went forward Negative 890. Byrnes & Nicholson. Learn to kick or GTFO! -
Agree on Spencer, he is actually a very good tap ruckman, which helps us enormously in the middle. Gawn has a bright future, no doubt, but as a centre tap ruckman, he is pretty ordinary right now. There is a direct correlation between Spencer's good ruckwork and our best midfield performance in a long while tonight.

What good is a player who takes 6 shots on goal and only nails one? We are crying out for a good small forward, but a 31 year old with suspect kicking is not the answer. I always hoped Jetta would come on as a small forward, but he seems to have disappeared into a black hole. Blease, if he ever gets his fitness up to a level where he can run more than 50 meters without spewing, is the sort of player you want as a small forward.

Silly comment. I hate him being played down there, but he did change the course of the match. He was the difference in the second and third quarters, and it was a good move by Craig. It just lasted too long, but it has nothing to do with us punishing him. We were actually punishing ourselves with that dumb tactic. If we knew he was gone, he wouldn't be getting a game.

Should have pushed Davis back and put Watts up forward in the last, to try and win it. We had a lot of momentum and amature kickers like Nicholson, Kent and especially bloody Byrnes, killed all of our momentum by fluffing easy shots on goal. Take out Nicholson and Davis and replace with Howe and Dawes and we win the game. Not to mention Frawley down back, Watts up forward and of course Mitch Clark. I thought the midfield worked hard, and even without Sylvia doing much (as always), Jones, Viney and McKenzie did a great job getting the ball out of the stoppages. Viney is a machine, he will be a great player and incredibly valuable. And I think McKenzie reminded a few players why he is so important, in a midfield that is otherwise awful. In a great team, no he wouldn't get a game, but he serves a very important purpose at the moment and should play each and every week. Thought Strauss did well, his kicking is still a pleasure to watch. He should be doing the Watts role, and playing the loose rebounding defender. And finally, Nathan Jones is a superstar, and without him we are well and truly farked.
-
I was never in favour of swapping captains, but after tonight Nathan Jones has to be made captain. He is hands down our best and most influential player, he leads by example and he actually plays consistently well each week. He is the player I want our other players to follow. If everyone had Jones' attitude, we'd be far better off.
-
Sylvia did SFA in the second half. Typical. Nathan Jones is unbelivable. He is an out and out star!
-
Nathan Jones > Gary Ablett

Omg this game is making me want to rip my hair out. What a frustrating match. We would have won with just one decent bloody forward.
-
This game is a sick joke. What a wasted opportunity.
-
Game over. Thanks for shutting down in the crucial part of the game Melbourne. As always. Take comfort in knowing that this garbage makeshift forward line won't be there next year.
-
How can there be nobody on the goal line?!? Ameture hour. Jones off with a blood nose, Melbourne getting goals kicked on them.
-
[censored] you Campbell Brown you piece of garbage. You absolute filthy cheater. Please let somebody break your face.
-
Nicholson cannot ever play again. His kicking is the biggest liability since Mark Neeld. He is killing any momentum we have.
-
Soft tackling attempt from Watts costs us a goal.
-
Fitzsation!!!!
-
Some baffling umpiring decisions.

Campbell Brown is a dog. I hope someone breaks his face.
