  1. I hope Hawks win today because Hawks aren’t actually good enough to do any real damage and if they win it proves that Carlton probably aren’t either. I am a deeply mean spirited footy fan
  2. That’s very true. What’s also true is that he’s super talented and that really helps.
  3. While I agree they are a strong chance, please let’s make absolutely 0 judgements on them based on smashing North Melbourne. I’ll be impressed when I see them win against a good side. They play Geelong in Geelong next week. Let’s revisit this topic then shall we?
  4. I still maintain that Geelong are on their last breath. Collingwood like Carlton have come out this year playing manic footy. Manic footy is unsustainable for a whole game let alone a whole season. The first half showed how weak Geelong is when under pressure from the opposition. The second half showed that Collingwood will be unable to sustain pressure for 4 quarters and have no idea how to defend a lead.
  5. I’ve waited 789 years for Geelong to drop dead.
  6. I’m very conflicted about tonight. On the one hand we have Collingwood going 3-0. On the other hand we have Geelong.
  7. Last seen on Instagram wearing a mask and sitting on his bum watching the AFLW. He’s no chance. 4-6 weeks.
  8. Well done girls. Keeping that Melbourne winning premierships dreams alive.
  9. If two years ago someone told you we’d be 3-0 to start 2022 after winning the flag in 2021, coming off 9 straight wins and not being in great form, missing Lever, Salem and some tall guy we got from North, you’d smack them in the face and tell them to get off the crack. Appreciate what you have in this team please!
  10. Close contact iso period is 6 days not 7 as far as I know. And apparently he was a close contact starting yesterday. So he should be available and will 10000% play if he is, even if it means he flies in the morning of the game. It’s one hour. I’m sure he can survive. I can’t see us risking Lever.
  11. Anyone who was at the ground yesterday could see how aggressively Essendon was flooding our forward half. Their strategy was clear, stop us scoring so they stay in the game long enough to maybe attack and win the game. To their credit it worked, and our pathetic goal kicking certainly helped. They opened up the play in the second half and got some good clearances, which coincided with Gawn going into the middle. That helped them isolate Wright 1-1 who is not only hard to stop but who is a very good kick. May was doing really well in the first half when the game was a defensive slog, but when you let opposition waltz out the front of the clearance you can’t stop their big forwards from marking. Overall you could see we are a class above. We played in small patches and just destroyed them with ball use. If we kick straight the game is done at 1/4 time. But because we are conserving energy we powered ourselves on for small patches to secure the win and take the wind out of their sails just when they thought they had a sniff. We are not at our best and clearly nowhere near the same fitness level as this time last year. But professional quality sides make things happen and we keep making wins happen.
  12. Please don’t sack Hinkley before Thursday Port.
  13. why would Goodwin tell the world Trac is hurt?
  14. So? He can train at home. He can fly in the morning for a night game. Zero chance he won’t play if he’s allowed to. Ben Brown after a week of iso is still better than Tom McDonald. In: Brown Out: McDonald
  15. Was not a happy boy on the bench. I think he’s definitely carrying something.
  16. We played at Melbourne level for 10 minutes and won by 28. Can’t really ask for much more. We are just going and banking those points while playing very average footy. If that’s not the sign of a good team what is? And we won with little output from Trac. Clarry, Langdon and Gus superb. Jackson is a game shifter. When he goes in the middle we get on top. He has to take more centre bounces. Gawn is just too predictable in there where’s Jackson gets his own ball. He’s a wonder that boy. Well done Weideman for taking his chances. There is SO much improvement to come which given we are 3-0 is bloody exciting.
  17. Our form is not it. Let’s get this win and move on.
  18. We are playing professional football until we line up for goal. Fix goal kicking and it’ll be a nice game.
  19. Train is quite busy if that helps. I doubt we will get less than 50,000 unless Essendon fans have all [censored] the bed.
