  1. Clarry was also an average kick. He goes alright now I suppose.
  2. Joel Smith makes the most sense from a versatility point of view as the sub, because if we lose a tall we are stuffed, particularly if we lose a defender. But there is no doubt that Dunstan, Bowey, Chandler and Bedford are in much better form, have been pushing their case at Casey and deserve a chance. Bowey is arguably a best 22 player anyway, so he will most likely be the sub, especially if we are worried that Salem is not 100%
  3. Terrible news for JJ. Missed out last year and played every game this year only to end up as the sub and now with a 4 week injury. Absolutely sucks.
  4. The same score line next Friday would be great.
  5. I believe Ed is on a self imposed media ban 🤣
  6. I don't disagree, but if he wins another flag he might decide that he is done. He did have a niggling calf injury earlier this year which kept him out for almost half a year. If he wants to go again I would be happy to give him another 1 year deal. But we have to keep the list ticking over. We need to make minimum 3 list changes, and it's getting harder and harder to pick the 3. I also think it is a big miss not to let Jason Taylor work his magic in the draft. He can do some great things with later picks. I don't want to keep holding on to players who are NQR. I prefer to take a punt on a Taylor special in the second and third rounds. I guess a lot depends on what happens with Jackson, as his departure might turn into 2 early picks, or it might turn into pick and a player, or we might on trade the picks we get for him for another player or try to drop down the draft order if we think there is someone we want.
  7. Baker will get delisted. Rosman delisted with a potential re-rookie. Hunt will sign on unless he is offered a better deal elsewhere. I think both Hibbo and Melksham will retire, especially if we win the flag. Jackson is 99.9% gone. Bedford is also out of contract I believe. Also just because someone is signed, doesn't mean we can't trade them. I wouldn't begrudge Chandler if he went elsewhere since he can't get a regular gig and he is good enough to play AFL.
  8. Another job well done by the selectors, trying to squeeze in 19 inside mids into a 22 man squad. Wingers do not exist.
  9. True, but he is also a cheap backup option with plenty of versatility. I don't think we would get more out of a rookie pick.
  10. I heard that too. I wish they told us if it was an open session, and more importantly what time it was on.
  11. He does not like dogs. No chance.
  12. My puppy barked at a magpie today. Definitely means Pies don’t win the flag if you ask me.
  13. Hawkins captain? He is not even the captain of his own team. Wtf? This is a Geelong [censored] fest. Vomit.
  14. Best throw? How the hell do we judge best goal umpire? Least score reviews?
  15. Hawkins FF. Jeremy Cameron CHF.
  16. How many Geelong players do we need in this team? Garbage.
  17. Curnow half forward flank. Only won the Coleman. But hey we need to squeeze in as many Geelong players as possible.
  18. He is an absolute gun and funnily enough is still underrated by most of the football world, except those who really matter, the coaches. Also a great player to tie with. Touk Miller is a star. Love to watch him play. Will probably win the Brownlow.
  19. Is anyone else really enjoying the pre finals movie titled “Windy Hill: dumpster on fire”?
  20. I truly apologize if that is how you took my comment. Perhaps my wording was poor. As I clearly stated above I think ALL members should get access to tickets ahead of non members. But to suggest that those who pay more should not get priority is just ridiculous. Those who choose to pay a premium price for a product which specifically states priority access to finals and grand final tickets, deserve to receive that priority. It’s like paying $100,000 for a car or $10,000 for a car and expecting the same quality of product. If next Friday was the grand final and I got crappier seats than someone who paid $66 for their membership during that marketing blitz we did, I would be fuming. I pay 10 times that because I want the full package that comes with the price tag, not because I have money to throw around. My yearly membership is a big expense that I save for every year. It’s not something I just afford without a second thought.
  21. And that was exactly my point. I think premium members should get 1st priority to secure the best tickets / seats. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't make sure ALL members get priority access to tickets. It just means that the more premium your membership, the more opportunities you should be given to get the best seats. Why can't they stagger the ticket release to Cat 1 members, followed by Cat 2 and then the remaining members, and only then open up to general admission? I would be fine if each barcode could get you say 2 tickets at this stage of finals, as a sell out is unlikely, but 10?! Absolutely unnecessary. Nobody who pays hundreds of dollars per year for a premium reserved seat should have to miss out or be lumped on level 4 behind the goals, when we are playing an interstate side in a qualifying final. I got premium seating for the Melbourne Collingwood game in round 20, and I somehow doubt we would get a much bigger crowd than that next Friday. Heaven help us if we draw Pies or Tigers in a Prelim and the same ticketing allocation happens.
