  1. Oh they are so smart and so sensitive. When I got Covid and I was really sick he wouldn’t leave my side. He also would lay on my chest and it was the only thing that would stop me from coughing. Dogs are angels.
  2. I’m happy to say that you’ve nailed this one
  3. Bear has an emotional support Melbourne blanket that he sleeps with. Occasionally he brings it to the living room to inform me that he’s feeling distressed…. This was him earlier today when I informed him dinner time was still an hour away
  4. Watched it. Loved it. Could not be prouder of our magnificent football club for continuing to pave the way for a more inclusive game. We are pioneers of so many wonderful initiatives in this league and this continued drive towards inclusion of our indigenous past is perhaps the most important initiative of them all. And to anyone who has a problem with the rebranding to Naarm, I urge you to watch this video to understand how much it means to players who you love to watch run around in the red and blue.
  5. Omg he is so adorable. Senior dogs have my heart. edit: this is the best thread Demonland has ever had
  6. Dogs paying Melbourne at least $900 a week at this stage
  7. Hi Bear from Bear.... Did you know that Clarry recently said on radio that he's looking to get a Cavoodle? We are all obviously elite dog people 🤣
  8. I demand puppy content once said puppy comes home.
  9. Their form line is no better than ours if you ask me. Round 1. Defeated Geelong by 22 vs Defeated Dogs by 50 - I would argue Geelong and Dogs are on par this year Round 2. Defeated Port by 71 at the G vs Lost to Brisbane by 11 - We had a shocker so points to the Pies Round 3. Defeated Richmond by 14 vs Defeated Sydney by 50 - Both opposition a lot less hampered by injuries back then, but I know who is a better side right now at full strength and it's not Richmond Round 4. Lost to Lions by 33 vs Defeated West Coast by 63 - Free swing to Dees but telling that Pies also lost to Brisbane at home which evens out round 2 Round 5. Defeated Saints by 6 points vs Lost to Essendon by 27 points - I rate both opponents equally. Pies take the points that round Round 6. Defeated Essendon by 13 points vs Defeated Richmond by 18 points - Even result Round 7. Defeated Adelaide by 1 point vs Defeated North by 90 points - Not exactly blowing me away with their performance over Adelaide. And a training drill for Melbourne Round 8. Defeated Sydney by 29 vs Defeated Suns by 5 points. Sydney already depleted by then. Our win against them was a lot more impressive especially with the injuries we had at the time. Suns no easy beats especially at home Round 9. Defeated GWS at home without Green by 65 vs Defeated Hawks by 54 points after kicking 0.5 to start the game. Much of a muchness. The form line is very even, but statistically we are leading in more key areas, and have comfortably the best percentage. We are about to hit a difficult month of games, but equally while we've had soft opposition we've had a really hard schedule in terms of breaks and travel. Much harder than the Pies who have only had 3 interstate trips, including Gather Round. A lot of water to go under the bridge, but still feel like we are experimenting and things are about to get serious as we hit the bye. We will know a lot more after Kings Birthday.
  10. I mean mathematically so could West Coast
  11. The vet has described him as “borderline over his recommended weight limit”… so he’s certainly been paid handsomely for his work.
  12. Bear also has his own Instagram… and he now follows your toy poodle https://instagram.com/bears_fluffy_adventures?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== I’ve actually used our puppy in a few photo shoots before for work catalogues. He’s a professional model 😂
  13. Please can we make a rule that we cannot post sad stories about dogs that are no longer here. Emotionally I can only handle so much. Thank you.
  14. I am all for being mean to people but never be mean to dogs. All dogs are absolutely beautiful.
  15. The one in the back looks like me when we lose
  16. He has as much say in it as my husband does. They both know who serves them dinner.
  17. Can confirm; the bestest of boys. I love him more than anything in this world.
  18. I’m sorry but no Hawthorn player should get votes. They were smashed for all but 10 minutes of the game.
  19. You are better off bringing Joel Smith to play that role. He has the height and athleticism to go with him.
  20. This game just got infinitely harder.
  21. Can’t catch a break with our talls. Really disappointing.
  22. Disastrous news.
  23. This is already my favourite thread This is my beautiful boy Bear. A real keen Melbourne supporter... P.S- I did want to name him Clarry since he's a ginger but my husband said absolutely not.
  24. Chandler plays a role where you will have quiet games. Small forwards have the hardest role in footy in terms of getting big stats. Sometimes they'll kick 3, sometimes they'll touch it twice a game. It's just luck of the draw and really depends on how the rest of the side is playing. I think as long as Chandler keeps up his defensive role, he is perfectly fine. BTW he had 12 touches, 3 score involvements and 3 clearances. These are super similar stats to Spargo, but Spargo kicked 2 and that's how the dice rolled this week.
  25. For those complaining that you can't tackle, that's not true. Sparrow needed to pull him down in the tackle, not swing him around. This is the difference between an acceptable tackle and a dangerous tackle now. It's been that way for a while. If you swing a player, you better hope that you land them softly on their side. If you swing them and they hit the ground hard or their head hits the ground, you are gone. There is no point contesting this charge. Even Geelong players have copped suspensions for these types of tackles, so you know we are no chance.
