The day Matthew Lloyd starts doing trades for the Essendon Football Club, is the day I start supporting Richmond Essendon have already said that they are not trading these two boys as they are their future. And while Judd might want to go to Collingwood, he needs to remember that Collingwood have little to offer West Coast. If he cares about West Coast not getting screwed, then Collingwood are in a bit of a pickle. As for Carlton, they are not trading their first pick, so that's out of the question. If they offer pick 3 + pick 20 + a player, that is not too dissimilar to pick 4 + pick 21 + a player. Besides, unlike Carlton, we have options of trading players for a first round pick (which we can then give the Eagles). Apart from Fevola, they have nothing, and if they trade Fevola, Judd will know that his chances of winning a premiership with Carlton have greatly reduced. IF Judd wants Melbourne, I'm confident that we can satisfy West Coast, but that is a big IF.

I didn't think anything could top the pain of losing Thompson, but the pain of not getting Judd would be so much worse. I'm predicting pain.

I thought the football world has stopped operating due to this whole Judd saga.... it's nice to see that things are still in motion. Good luck to Riley, and may Carlton suffer at the bottom of the ladder, WITHOUT JUDD, for many more years to come.

Judd hasn't spoken to Collingwood yet, so how can Collingwood be saying that he's coming to their club? Yesterday people at Carlton were saying that they signed a deal with him 3 months ago There is rubbish coming out of every club, and most of it is wishful thinking. I could sit here and tell you that this and this person, who knows this and this person at Melbourne, told me that Judd loves Melbourne and that they think he's coming to the Dees. There are a million versions to this story, and none of them are coming from Judd. For god's sake, surely Collingwood are concentrating on their finals campaign right about now.

They don't need him, they have the only player who I'd like to see play for Melbourne even more... Jonathan Brown! If Brown somehow became available, I would seriously donate my body parts if it helped to get him to Melbourne!

I know, which is why I keep telling myself to be rational, because in all honesty, Judd won't choose Melbourne, he just won't. But how can you resist getting carried away in the fantasy of Judd, on the MCG, in a Melbourne jumper, holding the premiership cup? I don't know how many times a year we sit around the dinner table and say 'if only we had Judd'... Even the most remote possibility of this actually happening, is exciting. And the worse thing is, I have a huge exam on Thursday that I was meant to study for the last few nights, but I haven't. It's just "Judd this" and "Judd that". Damn you Juddy.... :D

Of course West Coast don't want to trade with Collingwood, but if Judd wants to go there, what are they going to do? Let him go for nothing so he ends up at Richmond? West Coast hate Collingwood, they hate Eddie (who doesn't), and they don't want to trade with Malthouse. I am sure Judd knows that, and yet he is still interested in talking to Collingwood. Will Judd ask them what they can offer West Coast? Of course he will, but at the end of the day, if he wants the Pies, than he Pies he shall get. Judd has more power than the entire 15 clubs combined.

We will certainly need to trade Robbo and/or TJ to get the Judd deal done, not just to gain picks, but also to make room in the cap. If we can trade Robbo and maybe pick 21 to the dogs for pick 5, then trade pick 4 + 5 to the Eagles, that would be great. That means that we lose: pick 4, pick 21, Robbo We get: THE JUDD Gumbelton and Ryder will have massive appeal to West Coast, but so will Carlton's picks. At the end of the day, it still all hinges on Judd's choice. If he says "I only want to go to the Dees", than I'm positive we'll be able to strike a deal with them. You can bet your bottom dollar that West Coast don't want to deal with Collingwood. Hopefully Judd keeps that in mind while Eddie is trying to stroke his ego (amongst other things <_< )

As you may have noticed, I have gone and split the giant Judd thread into 3 separate topics. Please post under the relevant headings, or start new discussions in separate threads. The aim of this temporary Judd board is to avoid having one huge thread where separate issues get lost. Cheers and enjoy the hysteria while it lasts

I was told today that they are favourites, and I believe the person who told me as they are Melbourne people. However, until he has met with the clubs, we won't know who is the favourite. Collingwood is leading the race because money and financial incentives are not an issue for them. I don't believe they are such an issue for us either, however we must be willing to part with a couple of senior players at least, if we are to afford him. As we've already discussed to death, Collingwood do have more to offer him financially and in terms of facilities etc... But that may not be what he wants most.

I don't know who your sources are, but that's crap. We'll be meeting with Judd before Collingwood do, firstly. Secondly, Judd won't go to Collingwood if all they haven't got early picks to give West Coast. Collingwood are still the front runners, but they are not a done deal.

I think they'll be after Sylvia or McLean personally.

Yep, this goes into the list of things we must do to get Judd: 1. Change clash jumper to suit Rebecca 2. Start using green power and recycled water in the sports drinks 3. Take part in the Middle-East peace process 4. Get Rebecca her own personal shopper 5. Create a lifesize doll of Gary Lyon to stand by his bed as he sleeps 6. Get his mum a record deal Anything else?

This is just Melbourne supporters pulling for the MFC. If Judd cares about the financial situation of the club, we are no chance. As I already said, we can't offer Judd anything that Collingwood can't... except that he was once a Melbourne supporter. Will that be enough? Time will tell.
