  1. my wife was happy to see someone else behaving like this. She has only come to the footy once and i scared the crap out of her. Then by the third quarter my voice was shot so she was a bit happier.
  2. I loved The way blease played today. His run and carry was great fun to watch and then his finishing was pretty good. What Blease did do though was push the bull up the ground and I think he was drafted as a forward but if all players are fit including Grimes and Bail does the bull stay up forward with Blease running off half back?
  3. I have always loved how the swans give their all every year.
  4. great stuff mate!
  5. You just answered your own question.
  6. Nice to read some positives Cheers!
  7. Whilst most negative posts on here are legit I want some positives from today and this year. I could easily read and listen to the subjects of Morton and his horrible everything. The frustration of Bartram's kicking and McDonald's over selling of candy but I want to hear some of your positive thoughts. I am stoked about Howe. He presents well and second efforts are there with some class aswell. It was also good to see us kicking to one on one situations with Howe. It shows the confidence they have in him. Blease was pretty good today and I can see the potential with him Nicholson and a fully fit Davey giving us a lot of speed. Chippa is just a gun and great to see him take the game on in the second half. Watts and trengove are going to be if not are the reason a lot of people go to Melbourne games in the years to come. Petterd has improved to an all round player who can run and take marks up the field and can set things up for us. AND it was great to see Beamer as skipper today and he played like one. I would love to see him with the C next to his name next year if not Trengove. Please ignore this post if you want nothing but negatives to write cause there are plenty more posts in here for that.
  8. Looks like he has all the skills to be a great footy player. But he puts no pressure on the ball carrier, doesn't tackle and generally spends a lot of time standing around. He frustrates me because he could be very good.
  9. He would not have the fitness to play down back at the moment. Play him forward in a defensive roll.
  10. N.Jetta gives me the you know whats. M.Loyd: any time he speaks I want to rip my head off so I can't hear his dribble. R.Walls/T.Lane: If I wanted to listen to bias Carlton commentary I would sit in the Carlton cheersquad.
  11. Cracking article! If only it would have some effect.
  12. Tottally agree! At the review of the game I hope Viney pauses it when jones looks over and does nothing. I have lost a lot of respect for jones.
  13. I'm a bit more of realist. Don't get me wrong I would love clarko or malthouse but can't see it happening. So out of the rest they need a set of balls and a modern day football brain. I'm not set on choco he has balls but I think his time is done and some goes with laidley even though I admire how much he got out of North Melbourne they never had a potential premiership list but he made many finals and maybe finished top 4 but I stand to be corrected on that. I think the right call was made on Bailey because we get to see how Viney shapes up as coach and if the players don't find any motivation from him then they might as well all head to centrelink because they should all be given the ass. So basically I have written all this crap just to say I don't really know.
  14. So the question is what do we stand for? And you have given up and posted your scarf off? What a great way to show how YOU stand up and fight. The club needs OUR passion more then ever and i'll be there next week to show I won't give up on this club. Bloody hell a crap day just got worse after reading your post.
  15. I wonder how frustrated young jack is with having to plug holes all over the ground?
  16. Yeah I was there until the end. Like many others on here i was getting pity from all Geelong supporters. Having a smoke at half time me and a couple of Melbourne supporters i met where just sitting their in shock when an old lady came up to us and offered an apology to us. I didn't know if i should have laughed or cried.
  17. spot on mate... spot on. The club only dies if we stop supporting and on my end that's never gonna happen.
  18. Not sure about the board. I'm no footy expert but we were beaten before the bounce today. Our structure on the ground is woeful. Bailey has to go and you are right if he respects this club he will resign.
  19. I just got back from Geelong and have had some time to settle down but i'm still [censored] off. What is up with Jack watts playing loose in defence? when Bailey said "on the couch" that he will be a key forward I would assume that would mean he would play forward. Is Jack Watts the first number 1 draft pick to ever be picked because of his loose man in defence skills? Mind you I thought Watts was the only player to have a crack today. What is up with Jurrah starting on the wing? Is he really going to get in and under tackle hard, break tackles and move the ball forward for us? He is a forward 50 player and that's it. So either play him their or drop him! I was on the fence about bailey staying or going but he has to be going. That was the most gut wrenching game to sit through as my Father in law has front row seats in the members section and to have to sit and listen to our club being laughed at all day was painful.
  20. I'll be there! It can be a painful experience watching the dee's in Geelong but that's what beer is for.
  21. being the sub means casey bound the week after. He just couldn't get into the game against Hawthorn but I don't blame him we were getting smashed in all areas of the ground.
  22. What a good bloke.
  23. Spot on! I can't believe the over the top reaction to a stock standard interview. The sky isn't falling relax a bit people!
  24. I just watched the interview and I made the mistake of reading this post before I watched it. What's with all the doom and gloom? While i agree Brad isn't all that flash in the media his answers were pretty standard and honest. There must be a lot of body language experts in Demonland. Just because he answered honestly about his disapointment that Junior didn't get another year doesn't mean the club has a serious in fighting problem. All of this makes me more [censored] at Scully's management for trying to justify Tom leaving Melbourne because the footy club has all these problems. His management has diverted the problem back to Melbourne and away from Tom and we have all fallen for it hook, line and sinker.
  25. 1:Watts NOT to play loose in defence. 2:Some centre clearences. 3:Russian to find some All Australian form. 4:Some forward structure. 5:Over use of the handball to be made illegal in parliment. 6:Pia Miller to return!
