A constant view of many of us on these forums is the need of one more out-and-out class act in the midfield. The #1 17-year-old gets us that class act. Admittedly, it's in 2014 - but, well....consider this B: Strauss Frawley Garland HB: Grimes Sellar McDonald C: Blease McKenzie Stretch HF: Petterd Watts Howe F: Jurrah Clark (Crumber) R: Gawn Jones Trengove Bench: 17yo Martin Gysberts Tynan With guys like Tapscott, Taggert, Cook and such challenging. We may even have Cook at FF and Clark in the ruck by that point.

Of those I would realistically take Cassisi, Johnson and possibly Josh Hunt. The reality is unless it's a GWS megabucks bid most of those players at clubs with a lot of players will stay put or are already in line for being delisted.

Just to add onto the SellarDoor debate, I was at the Qld triple header and very much liked what I saw from him. The guy can play in the backline. Very much had the Warnocks about him except didn't scare the living [censored] out of me when he tried to kick the footy. He'll be great against a gorilla - see Cloke, Brown, Roughead - and even better against the more generic tall forwards (Vickery, Lynch). It also releases Frawley off those guys to take the rebounding HB role, where he is far, far more deadly. If we don't try and muck with him as well as (occasionally) have him pinch-hit as a third option down back in the ruck (behind Rush and Martin) then I think he'll do well.

Hell, I'm prepared to give this team until Rnd17 at least - I'll be delighted being around 8-8 at Rnd17, pleased with a 7-9 and okay at 6-10 as that's where I put us, with our terrible first half draw and the vagaries of football. That said, beating Vic teams wearing something other than a sash is a must. This year isn't the lost year. If anything, last year (2011) is the one I will never fondly remember - after all the promise of 2010 we came out and played like crap. Now we have to resurrect from 186, from the beltings and from being a joke, mediocre football side. The only way is up.
