At least these guys seem to work hard for their spot and make the most of their opportunities, unlike some who will remain nameless (Colin S.). If Magner had come from the draft we would be singing his praises, but even though he didn't he is still a first year player and has been playing some good footy and it amazes me the amount of people who are ready to jump on him or call for him to be delisted/traded this year.

Averaging 7 tackles a game so far which is something to work with.

A great midfield can make a very average forward look good, so mids mids mids! With so many picks at least one of them has to come off.

I think this says a lot about the development program of the MFC and/or our drafting. Maybe we should just trade off all of our picks for players and forget about the draft all together!

A mate of mine has told me that Boak has signed with Port. Not totally sure how reliable that is but he is a Port supporter so could be in the know. Apologies if this is incorrect!

Kicking skills should be an important consideration in this draft, especially in the later picks where the 'gun' players aren't obvious. Also on the trade table, which is why I think Goddard would be a pretty good acquisition.

It will take a few years to be sure about Tom, but as long as we don't absolutely stuff up these compo picks, this has been a big big win for us.

Good assessment, our trading record is pretty good in recent years. Hopefully this year we are aggressive and throw these picks around.

I think the commentary on Friday mentioned something like that, that he was a few kilos lighter since his injury. Plenty of time for him to beef up again so that he can tear it up for us next season!

Far better small forward than any prospects on our list and has a lot of pace, which we so desperately need. It would definitely be a step in the right direction and I would happily give many of our players over for him.

I'd love him but I don't think the lions would want to let him go. We'd probably pay a high price, as I think he is a much better player than both of Zorko and Green.

His disposal was rubbish, and he is almost 33. Seriously, wasting picks on redrafting blokes as old as him is ridiculous; we'd be lucky to get a season out of him.

Not a bad idea and worth a shot I think. We may as well keep testing out versatility and different roles, as there isn't a whole lot else to do for the rest of the season/

Oh come on, he was at Melbourne for six (?) seasons and gave nothing. He always played well at VFL level but never showed at AFL and was given way way too many chances. Troll thread?

Keep at least Grimes on as dumping them both would be a poor show of faith in both our young captains. Grimes is doing fairly well I think, and I wouldn't mind seeing Trengove and maybe Jones/Clark in vice captain roles next year.

Yes I am glad Chris DAWES didn't come to the MFC too. Good role player (last year) at best.

I'm not talking about money though, I'm talking about his value at the trade table which I think is nowhere near pick 4.

Boak has done nothing this year to justify a high pick like #4. Pick 12 and a player would be my preffered option.
