Passing on Jack will be a monumental stuff up on the clubs part and they simply won't do it. This guy is ferocious at the ball and the man, and proved he is ready right away for senior footy after his games for Casey. How many times have you seen a kidmake a point of getting under the nose of a tough AFL veteran (Wojcinski) and putting his body on the line the way he did, where the end result was a broken jaw? The fact is that Viney is as hard as they come, and players like this don't come very often at all. As well as that he comes across very driven, has great leadership qualities and is a good kick. On the off chance we pass (which I guarantee we won't), the posters on Demonland will be crying themselves to sleep every night when we're left with a skinny, 'skilful' kid who turns out to be the next Cale Morton.

A bit of optimism Old Dee! They didn't have free agency back then so I have faith that we can move up the ranks quicker than that. Some canny recruiting of some more battle-ready players and it shouldn't take more than a few years to get back into top 8 contention.

No no no no no to Caddy if it means parting with pick 13. Nothing so far to show that he is worth it. If he can be packaged with Toy in a reasonable deal maybe, but even Toy is looking to have been overrated a bit.

And considering the state of our list compared with others', another clubs 'rejects' would be our solid players. I think Edwards would pretty useful.

If we were to make a deal I'd like us to use pick 4 for MD pick 2. If it's going to cost pick 3 it's overs I think, especially seeing as we have to wait another year for Hogan to even debut. Seeing as our midfield is a pile of dog poop, my preferred would be Viney and Toumpas with Stringer/Kennedy at 13. If a move is made on Hogan I'd like Viney, Hogan (pick 4) and O'Rourke/Kennedy/Stringer at 13.

Nowhere near as ferocious at the contest though, and is actually more of an outside runner than an inside wrecking ball. If we were to use pick 3 on Viney, Toumpas would be great at pick 4.

Mate, Jack Viney is the player that typifies this new regime and has exactly the kind of qualities Neeld is trying to instill into the rest of the list. It would be madness passing on Viney and they won't do it.

I had exactly the same view until checking him out a bit more. One stat which is very promising I think is that he is 5th in the entire comp for total bounces taken, so clearly he can get the ball and run. Also 15th for total kicks.

Caddy is massively overrated and has produced naught in two years, but yeah it would be a steal because at least some people seem to think Caddy has some value (who knows why). Could be used in a 3 way trade if that were to happen, but it probably won't.
