  1. I believe the Lumumba, Clark and Varcoe deal is virtually done, according to Balme. If Trenners were to go to Richmond, I'd definitely want their second rounder back with 12. Better yet, we should get Adelaide involved. I'd much, much rather see him playing there than at Richmond, if he goes.
  2. Definitely. ODI's are obsolete now. We should be sticking to tests and T20I's, which they rely on to bring in those who don't usually support cricket. I'm not a big fan of it myself but it's something different.
  3. This is it. And it has applied to a lot of players for a long time. The attitude has to be broken. Luckily it's not up to the supporters, else we'd be hoarding all our spuds in the hope that they'll be good one day.
  4. Not a bad trade but I'm not sure I'd be totally happy with 3 and 12 for Beams. Just me.
  5. Bit of a fizzer this series. Watched a bit of the first two ODI's and I can say it wasn't very exciting at all.
  6. I'd have to agree with that. Doesn't stop him playing some good footy though!
  7. Too many tattoos for your liking Jose?
  8. I think they'd probably prefer to stay in their home town, especially if the dad is sick as reported. Probably what any family would do in that situation.
  9. Exactly, clubs refrain from posting articles about rumours and innuendo, and I couldn't see them writing a piece on discussions and an offer nobody knew about until tonight, just because it has popped up in the media. The line about 'The Demons are aware he is a popular and loyal figure' really adds to the feeling that it is likely to happen, for me.
  10. After reading the article on the club website, I've a feeling this will eventuate.
  11. He must rate him somewhat if he thinks we can get pick 12 for him. IF... Remember, this all began from a Herald Sun rumour.
  12. As I've said above, I am a big fan of Trenners but you are pretty spot on here WYL. If he weren't to improve from here on in, it'd probably be a win for us. But I really do hope we don't trade him.
  13. If it makes the side better in the long run, I'm all for it. But I really do like Jack and on face value it looks a trade that could leave us the laughing stock yet again.
  14. I'm impressed by Billy's highlights on the MFC website. It looks like he can really run and evade, and the foot skills were quite good. Can never take too much away from highlights though, I suppose.
  15. That would be an awesome result for us. We'd definitely have the makings of a great young midfield with those two, plus our current crop of Viney, Tyson, JKH, Kent, Riley, Michie, Trengove and Toumpas.
  16. I've given up hope on Dangerfield in light of recent statements from us and him and the AFC. We don't stand a chance next season - FA has already shown that the vast majority of players will favour some success over cold hard cash. With all this turmoil affecting clubs, it wouldn't surprise me if Hawthorn stayed at the top of the table for the next 10 years. I also wouldn't be surprised if Dangerfield ended up with them next season.
  17. I'm quite sure Fitzy kicked 50+ for Casey a couple of years ago. Personally, I'd rather perservere with Fitzy over Grimley. Fitzy has a bit of X factor that doesn't come often in ruck/forwards.
  18. It's not a bad idea. Giles would be a handy pick up for us, considering is on the precipice and Spencer is still yet to prove himself, although he did start the year well.
  19. The Purple Headed Warrior has thrown up a possible trade of Griffen to GWS and picks 4 and 7 to the Dogs. Lol.
  20. Aren't we potentially parting with our second rounder for Heretier? But welcome Jeffy!
  21. I'll be far more satisfied when we win more than 4 games, but it's a good start.
  22. What a bloody farce. How can a kid have so much power over where he goes? The AFL will be the EPL soon enough.
  23. Great. So you won't mind if we don't take what you're saying as gospel?
