One team came out & played as a team & the other came out hoping someone else would do the hard work to get them over the line. Serious teams don’t come out & lose to teams at the other end of the scale like tonight. Because we are a serious team, right? We play the way we do because we don’t have cattle to play a more expansive game. Defend, defend, defend until you bore the other team to oblivion is what we’re about. Most uninspiring game plan.

Bailey Fritsch was embarrassing tonight. Another game where he wasn’t committed to the defensive side of the game when that’s the DNA of our team - Contest & Defence. Pretending to tackle by throwing an arm out, no intent to apply pressure, constantly playing out the back & behind he’s opponent. But look out when there’s a chance to kick a snag! Ffs… Glad Goody benched him after that laconic effort late in the 4th. I love Fritsch & the clinical forward brilliance of the man, but you have to apply more defensive intent when it’s your time to go.

Billing’s was so rubbish by 3/4 time that he should’ve been subbed. He found some rhythm in the last (at last).
