You do have to say the combination of boundary rider and descriptive training reports was certainly different and entertaining to be encouraged

Really like this, shows heaps, and I know it’s “only” his age group but it shows, confidence in himself, strength of character, maturity, leadership, again maturity beyond his age. and he played against seniors last year I think. hope he can play footy. We might have an absolute gem, future leadership as well, fingers crossed

You would have fitted nicely into the cheer squad back in the 70’s all you needed to do was throw in a bit of alcohol or other stuff and the party was on. all the clubs knew how to party! obviously I did not indulge in anything I should not have. David N was for the most part a great competitor. Just burst packs apart. Never noticed the captaincy, but I was not around much then. G Lyon on the other hand had so much skill, When he played we played like we had an extra player in the team and the players responded. When he was missing, even though there was a replacement, we were playing one short. just my view from my side of the fence
