How will their backline cope ? 2/ who will replace Viney in the guts ? I think Sparrow or Harmes, both can bring hardness to the centre and are capable in there. 3/ Tomlinson out, it’s either Petty playing more importantly a role than in the past or Tmac playing as a backup to May and Lever as the “main” defenders. A lesser role than he often does. this way we keep the “structure “ of the forward , mids, and the defenders basically the same, slightly different personnel but played in the same manner that has given so much this year. In the same way Richmond swap players around but keep the game played how they like it. will we have fritz , I would argue the point. If you leave for money or to play at a famous club, it’s all personal gain. couple of years ago we were a basket case, with these players the sum is greater than the individual. But if I barracked for freo or gcsuns why wouldn’t I have right to regard some as less than heroes players leave and change for many reasons, I like players and dislike others. I did not mind Alves going to North or others leaving after a Iong time with us. just my opinion

I do quite like this man. his tackles are superb, but it’s more as a link in our scoring, either as a handball, block or waiting for a spill, and his physical support for teammates, it’s great.
