  2. You won't believe it until you see him in a GWS jumper will you? I wish I had a little bit of hope left too, but this is all over. What a disgusting situation the AFL have created.
  3. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/tom-scully-flies-to-sydney-to-inspect-greater-western-sydney-with-family/story-e6frf9jf-1226134024795 Gone
  4. The fact that people think you can't live comfortably with around 600,000 per year highlights how misguided humans are. And playing for a football team with thousands if loyal followers is not comparable to Joe Bloe working for the average soulless organization. I'd leave my employee for a massive salary increase but not a footy team that put it's faith in me. I guess that's just me though. Obviously being a passionate supporter of thus club does make my opinion biased.
  5. God I hope he announces it tomorrow. If he does stay with MFC I will donate $100 to this site!
  6. I have said this before too and it is a valid point. At the end of the day, it is his decision but I am not too fond of how this has unfolded and would have much preferred a Ward like result. Anyway, such is life as they (including Ben Cousins) say.
  7. We should be compensated with O'Maera or someone of similar ilk considering we are losing a #1 draft pick after less than 30 games
  8. He sounded totally unconvincing that he was still undecided too
  9. Whole family going up to Sydney to check out the place. He is surely gone
  10. Above article by By Kim Hagdorn, which means it is horseshit
  11. Why was there a thread on the main page titled 'SCULLY SIGNS WITH MFC' now it has gone
  12. Not sure Tom would sign a 1-2 year desk when both MFC and GWS are offering 4-5 year contracts
  13. We may have different opinions on this site, but we are all in this together. Soon, we will all be grieving together before our anger takes hold. Or, we will share the same elation if he stays.
  14. He is officially signed now, close this one!
  15. Let's get a grip people. Yes, we are all passionate about this club and want Scully to stay (most of us). We also want to be compensated adequetly should he decide to leave (or when he actually admits it, as some would argue). At the end of the day though, there really are far more important issues in the world. In fact, the time and energy many of us have spent discussing whether this kid will leave or not (me included) could be best be spent elsewhere. How good Tom becomes and whether his knee holds up is anybodies guess. None of us can see into the future. So even if he does go, it may not end up being as massive a blow as we think it will. Only time will tell. I hope the official announcement comes soon, mainly to help end this madness.
  16. He coached the Yarra Glen football club to my knowledge. On Triple M yesterday, they discussed Ratten and most of the panel (Brayshaw, Billy Brownless, Frawley, and Barrett) said that it would be VERY UNLIKELY that Ratten get the sack, even if they lose this weekend.
  17. Not sure anybody will take your offer up. Probably a pointless exercise anyway. It is a 50/50 call, so it is quite easy to be right even if it was a blind guess. I could have said that I know Tom personally and that he informed me he will be leaving at the start of year. Thus, if he does leave, I would be considered a person who you will believe next year when in fact I was talking out of my arse. Don't trust any journalist anyway, that is the easy option.
  18. I'm going to get a membership next year. As much as I don't like it sometimes, I have such an emotional investment in this club. In fact, if my emotional investment was taken as financial investment, I would be the emotional equivalent of Gutnick.
  19. If you think the AFL didn't want Port to win that game and that the umpiring was deliberately bad to help such a cause, then you are very naive. That said, despite a massive hand up from umps, Melbourne's ineptitude still played a big part in losing.
  20. Strong words from Frawley. At least the club has remained optimisic and confident he will stay.
  21. Did watts even play today? His form has been down last few weeks
