New List Manager - Tim Lamb?
- Joel Smith
Read the article instead of making ill informed, superficial comments. He and his docs would have a better knowledge of his condition than you. Pull your head in (again).- Aiden Bonar
Ooohhh, I like it. Can we split 3 and use him as part of it?- Finn Maginness (Drafted by Hawthorn)
Surely if he's rated at say, 10, any club with a pick from 6 would bid? Hawks get 20% off points.- Finn Maginness (Drafted by Hawthorn)
So if no other club pucks Maginess before their first pick, can the hawks select another draftee and take Maginess with later picks?- Joel Smith
The Shaun Smith concussion article in the other thread may give a clue as to why he is spontaneous in thought and action. “I’ve had a couple of blues with friends, punched on — I’m not a fighter. It’s cost me a friendship just recently. I’m ashamed of it, I just can’t control my anger. You become very impulsive, make some very poor decisions.”- Finn Maginness (Drafted by Hawthorn)
Gee wiz, I know it's a highlights package and all, but this kid has some seriously good traits. Speed, awareness, vision, lovely kick too.- Finn Maginness (Drafted by Hawthorn)
Without giving away the exact source, can you tell us roughly where they come? Source within the club, within AFL, media, current player, online forum, website? Adds to the veracity of "I've heard", which as you know could mean anything. Cheers.- Finn Maginness (Drafted by Hawthorn)
Then they'd wait 2 years for his initial contract to run out and scoop him up. Not with pick 3.- Finn Maginness (Drafted by Hawthorn)
Hawks would have this in mind when doing trades. No way they wouldn't leave enough points for him. They get 20% discount on points required to match bid.- WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Personally, I think we paid overs for Tomlinson... Oh, sorry... I thought this was the pessimists thread. My bad.- Gaff or Andrew Brayshaw Rumour
14, another pick inside of 19 and 24- Gaff or Andrew Brayshaw Rumour
According to AFL website WCE have resigned themselves to part with 2 x 1st and one 2nd- Gaff or Andrew Brayshaw Rumour
They need 2 x 1st rounders plus a 2nd rounder for Tim Kelly. One of those 1st rounders might be next year. Think they'll give 14 to Cats- Tom Papley
Normally that is @Bitter but optimistic- Farewell Sam Frost
Imagine live trading Frost pick (maybe 31ish) plus a future 2nd rounder for pick around 20-23 and selecting Weightman or similar sliding draftee.- WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Misery loves company. Perfect thread for you to embed yourself- Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
More a case of when your dck stands up, your brain sits down, I believe- Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Mitch Clark- Jamie Elliott
And we have $500k to spend elsewhere, whilst the trade period is only just beginning- Jamie Elliott
Another slap in the face. Surely requires an external review. Fagan has a lot to answer for.- Jamie Elliott
So you see us as a lowly club again next year? "Resigning us to rebuilding again through the draft" is pure MFCSS and totally not what some commentators are saying about us in 2020 Interesting how we each approach these things. I see us not as rebuilding, more acknowledging our deficiencies through some trades and pick 3 (or 2 x split picks). With a relatively injury free preseason and a fit list, some added outside skill and a favourable fixture, I expect us to be finalists in 2020. Yes, we had a very poor 2019, for a variety of reasons. We also had 3 years of improvement before that and reached a preliminary final. We can focus only on the negatives or we can look to improve our list and FD and move on. Doesn't make me a happy-clappy or a wrist slasher. As with most things, the answer lies somewhere between.- Isaac Smith
Yes, but he's neither another club or the Hawks. Easy for him to say- Jamie Elliott
Following that logic, surely StK and Carlton would have no one wanting to join them? Oh, wait...- Jones steps down as captain.
Look forward to seeing it when you do. Very interesting to see how players personalities come out (or not) on game day. Hodge is a very impressive guy. - Joel Smith
