No one has claimed that Roos is a school yard kid picking sides. At best it's putting words into other's mouths, at worst it's just plain made up. One poster told of a conversation he had with a close relative of Grimes. Make of it what you will, and some are making up what it was not, but a conversation relayed with a viable source declared is valid.

I had a chat with Crossy at training over summer. He had been working on the side oval with Tracc doing run throughs. Asked him if it was good to be back working at the club and he said he was loving it. Big smile. Clearly the disappointment of not getting another year didn't last long. With the rise of Hunt and Wagner, we made the right call. And the competition across the backline will increase next year as Salem, Milkshake and (hopefully) Lumumba come back into the mix.

Whichever way we paint it, losing Hogan would be a very big blow to the club. Weed and Hulett might come on next year in the seniors, but we know Hogan is a bona fide star in the making and pretty close now. I'm keeping my head in the sand and refusing to consider it because losing Hogan would definitely set us back.

I'm guessing I don't need to explain the difference between grandfather/father and nephew to agree that they are not the same... But given the cancer battle and death of our club president, not to mention the small bit about Jim being the "greatest story in the history of football", please forgive us for wishing that a good, young prospect related to Jimmy, who's father also played for Melbourne, might one day pull on the read and blue.
