I can't hear the fat lady singing yet! Let's hope we are having another red hot go at him. Imagine: In: Gaff (FA), May, KK, Preuss, pick 5 or 6, future 2ndor 3rd rounder (Kent), pick 36 (AVB) Out: Hogan, Kent, AVB, pick 44 (Preuss) maybe some later pick swaps. Nice.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ

You should see the guns shots I took of him and his family. He told me he's keen on joining Melbourne, but wanted a pre-emptive restraining order against me first. Salem agreed, pending the EPL results. All good fun! -
Agree with this completely. The pointy end of this year's draft is meant to be very good, the top 6 or so. The only thing that betters this is if we can prize Kelly away from GWS this year with 5 (which will end up being at least 6 with Lynch FA compo) and next year's 1st rounder (16-18)

I seriously doubt a couple of degrees difference will be a factor in his decision. Or are you referring to cold as in lonely? IMO if he leaves it will be because of coin and to be near people he grew up with. I actually believe football is currently not as important to him as it might be to other star players, which is understandable given what he's been through recently. Perhaps he has some delusional thought Ross Lyon and Freo are ready for finals.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY

IMO Lever isn't a key defender. May and Omac would be the KPD. Lever is intercept 3rd tall. He might put on more size in future and play tall KP, but not as he is at the moment. Frost becomes depth or comes in for opposition match ups or is trade bait. -

This is one of those trades where I have confidence our FD will make the right call. If they want him, I will certainly support it. -
Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!
Moonshadow replied to Tony Tea's topic in Melbourne Demons
Have read it somewhere else, maybe in AFL article (hence "apparently"), but for the time being and FWIW, I'll quote our intrepid scoop reporter ?: So it's probably fake news... As an aside, how does one run a family business remotely whilst being a full time footballer for Sydney or Melbourne? -

3 years vs our offer of 1, apparently. -
They get 6 weeks off before preseason, but will have individual programs given for that time to ensure they come back in shape. As you say, many players go in for ops as soon as the season finishes. No biggie.

How on earth did that driver miss you Saty?

Is that a disease you caught in Bangkok last year? I think for the sake of your search history, it's would be good if the internet did go down... permanently.

He doesn't "owe" the club anything. He's played out his contract, if he leaves we will get something in return. That's the way it works. Get a grip man. That sort of talk is purile. -
Thanks Max! ?

Big blokes can go up but rarely drop down, Red ?

I'd take a 3 year contract near family anyday over a 1 year contract 900km away. Even if it was for a bit less money. Was looking forward to seeing him in red and blue next year, but I respect his family loyalty. I hope we get trade value for a player now injury free and showing promise late in the season. -
A mate's family used to take turns presenting the Fitzroy B&F trophy to the winner each year. His family were related to the club official the award was named after (don't ask me to say who, as I have no idea). Anyway, each year the winner or placegetter was poached by a power club as poor old Fitzroy was near bust. Pert, Osborne, etc all abandoned the sinking ship. On the year my mate's turn came up, he presented the trophy to Paul Roos and broke tradition by announcing to the crowd it was now Roosy's opportunity to declare he would resign with the Lions. Handing the mike over to Roos, the response was, "Thank you very much for the award." And he left the stage. Well, you can imagine the silence as 300 fans sat, mouths agape in the knowledge that their club champion, star player was leaving. The following year he was at the Swans.
