  1. What's the difference between a lawyer and a liar? The pronunciation. (fate in the balence...?)
  2. Isn't that what they call you in the seats at the footy, Ethan? ?
  3. Gee wiz, if I was an opposition list manager I sure as hell wouldn't give up 5 and 10 in a draft blessed with top end talent for a player who, to quote you: " ...did not finish top ten in his own club B&F. Hogan played poorly in virtually every big game he took the field in in 2018. 9 goals in 8 games against the top 10 clubs. Coulda, shoulda, woulda ... didn’t." Hogan is either a star worthy of one of the best trades ever (5+10), or he's an over rated down hill skier who hasnt lived up to expectations. Can't have it both ways. 5 years and 70 games under his belt. List managers know his value and they will trade for what he is worth now.
  4. So by that standard we should accept a 2nd rounder for Hogan???
  5. Can't see it happening, but if it did, Goodwin would know exactly what we're getting and Colyer's potential at MFC
  6. He'd cost a top 10 pick, I fear.

  8. Your fantasies are sounding strangely similar to those of @Bitter but optimistic
  9. Well, in case you haven't realised, we are aiming to win a flag. Keeping a player who might not want to be at the club isn't smart. Trading for players who do and fill specific needs that will improve out team is smart when we are aiming for a flag. That's the objective. There are probably other factors at play that we don't know about that will effect the outcome. Could be medical, could be personal. I trust our list guys to get the job done to improve our list. They've done a great job over the last 4-5 years. They will get value.
  10. Yeah sure, that's exactly what I'm suggesting... FMD.
  11. Your opinion, of course. I think Mahoney, Todd Viney and Taylor will have a more pragmatic view and will not get bogged down by numbers. In fact they probably use a completely different set of criteria to us punters when assessing the outcome. Will they achieve 5+6 or 5+ Langdon or just 5? Don't know. However, will our list be improved with May, Preuss and KK, all of whom want to play in red and blue? F#*% yeah!
  12. I don't think you do, but that's ok. If Hogan leaves, his value is whatever the FD believe is sufficient to achieve what they wanted to improve our list.
  13. I still think our FD will look at it more from objectives and outcomes POV rather than what pick we might get or give up. They want May, Preuss and KK. That much appears clear. Perhaps there is something else in the pipeline. But if Hogan wants to leave, I highly doubt we'd hold him to his final contract year. Whether we get 5+6 or 5+2019 1st rounder or just 5, it's about achieving our objectives to improve the list and moving on. I'm not suggesting the club roll over, just that we have bigger fish to fry in 2019.
  14. Obviously not a marine biologist. Your name isn't George Costanza by any chance?
  15. Sounds to me like you're assessing Jesse's value to the team and weighing up whether or not we might improve the list if he was traded
  16. Pretty sure the AFL brought in a ruling to stop this. Clubs would bundle up picks to trade for higher picks. The bundled picks would be used for academy or F/S bid matching. IIRC we did that for Oliver/Weid, and it was changed shortly after. Something like that anyway
  17. Is it too much to expect you might understand that a player cannot be traded to a specific club without their consent?
  18. Or...... They could just give us every pick for Vanders No, really. FMD.
  19. Now I've heard it all! Paranoia full throttle...
