Recognisable is one thing ... but it has to be an effective game style. The 2019 game style was very recognisable... 1. All hard at the ball, no one on the outside to get the handball, and spillages from packs easy pickings for the opposition. 2. Bombs inside 50, particularly when outnumbered. 3. Handball to team mates under pressure - see #1. 4. Kick to opposition players. 5. Don't spread. 6. Don't switch. 7. Kick points (rather than goals) wherever possible. OK, so I'm jaded !!!!

For years Jee-long fans complained how hopeless Hawkins was. Eventually he came good. We can only hope that Weiderman follows the same path.

I was at the Footscray game in the last round + the 3 finals. Even if we had won the Prelim we would have been thumped by Carlton the following week (GF).

I didn't say that he could play at his optimal level. The back injury prevented that. I simply said that playing with the injury wouldn't cause further damage.

Totally correct. The Club determined that playing with an injury would not cause further harm. (P.S. Information from a club staff member.)
