Interesting reading that and noting which journalists are unable to contain their bias when they are writing about their club. Emma Quayle is too good to be an Essendon supporter.

I would not be at all surprised for today to come and go without a verdict.

I deny it, I deny it!! Well... we're the richest team in the NHL, however our fans have just as many teeth as the average person. If you watch a Leafs home game, the lower bowl is completely filled with business people who are "entertaining clients" at the games. It makes it a rather boring atmosphere, as the "fans" don't get as into the game as they do in cities like Calgary and Philadelphia. It's always hard to say how many wins will get you into the playoffs, but I'd say that you'd need at least 55pts to qualify in the West, and probably 50 in the East. Boston is always frustrating to watch... they're so damn good! It's nice to see Vancouver doing well again, I do have a bit of a soft spot for both them and Edmonton. The Canucks can only improve, especially when the Sedin Sisters inevitably turn it on. They've got an interesting situation in goal though, with Luongo pushing Schneider from the starting job and raising his trade value.

I've been having trouble posting when I use Safari as my browser. In fact, I'm unable to post anything at all when using Safari. When I use Firefox there aren't any problems, however it's a bit of a pain since it's not my preferred browser.

This thread is 36-odd pages of waffling. I don't know why I keep coming back here...

I can't wait to bring this topic up when Watts one day becomes an All Australian. I wonder if you'll still hate him then? -
Just as long as you don't start following Ottawa or Montreal, I'll have no problems with it :-)

I'd like to see Blease play further up the ground, perhaps on the wing or as a half forward. I don't know much about Kent; I live out of the country so haven't seen him training. Davey and Byrnes won't be around when we're (hopefully) challenging. Magner is not a forward pocket; he played there a couple of times last year, with, IMO, no success. Jetta is better utilized as a small defender. If he can get through this season, I would be more than happy to see the Dees take a punt at LeCras. I'd be surprised if he left West Coast, just as I'd be surprised in Betts left Carlton, but I'd be happy to have either in red and blue. I didn't realize Milne's age. Anyway...just trying to generate some discussion; I'm getting tired of visiting the "Tanking" thread.

There's a few names there I'd love to see us make a play for. There's a few A-grade small forwards there (LeCras, Betts, Milne), which a position we need to fill.

Such a wasted talent. Very sad. -

Those were just two that sprung to mind, and one more than you asked Binman for. You implied that he'd had none. Some of the Watts bashing on this forum is ridiculous; the Dees are a better team when Watts is playing than when he isn't. Fact. -

You're kidding yourself if you think that Watts hasn't influenced a game so far in his career. He was the best on ground in our only win of note in 2012 against Essendon. He kicked 3 goals against the Tigers in Round 14, 2011, one of which was a fantastic individual effort that all but killed Richmond's momentum and hope of getting back into the game. He was consistently in our best players for a long stretch of games in both 2011 and 2012. While he may not have lived up to the lofty expectations that come with being a #1 pick, there is no way that you can be serious in saying that he hasn't influenced a single game in his four years at the Dees.- 189 replies

It's difficult when you read all the training reports on this site. It makes me want to pick Nicholson, Spencer, Viney, Toumpas, Barry, Howe, Jones, Rodan, etc...the list goes on. I usually end up picking too many MFC players every year. -

That's Sellar. I don't think this is the actual one...Dawes is blocking Jones as well haha

They could ban him from working in the game.

It wouldn't be that AFL---yet. They have to wait for the responses to the 800 page document and then deliberate as to whether or not they are sufficient explanations. If they are not, then they may boot out CS.
-
The problem is that the last couple of seasons he hasn't been able to get the ball in his hands. Hopefully he'll finish it off with a bang in 2013.

If he is to be sacked, I sure hope there's a bloody good replacement lined up.
