Walker has re-signed as has Mckernan http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/afl/crows-coup-with-walker-mckernan-signings/story-e6frecoc-1226123008435 Tippet is going home, due to him apparently having a get out clause for only a second and third round pick to the club of his choice at the end of next season Crazy i know, Crows will get something decent while they can, from Goldcoast which is where he wants to go, Maybe some sly business from GC, getting Tippet to put this into his contract, then steal Bock for free, then get tippet the next year......
-
Hutchy and Barrett will say whatever sells papers and creates interest friends with Gary L or not, its there job and they get paid very handsomely to do this, they dont get paid to write old news, or boring articles
-
I dont think that anybody has said that any of the coaches who are linked with our clubs are done deals, signed and on there way, simply plausible, and people would be excited by the outcome People do use the same type of article to infer without doubt a player is leaving this is the difference, You are *right that people make assumptions, that is where the similarities end
-
People saying the coaching situation may be a deciding factor, GWS has Sheeds for god sake.... unless Choco is goimg to coach i dont see how we can appoint anybody worse than Sheeds, seriously is a wanka, definition of senile Maybe signing Trengove up ect may help, Scully knowing that all the other "young guns" will be on board for 3 years at least
-
They are obviously asking for to much, but if they push this shite up the hill they may get something on the other side.... i.e. 1st and 2nd round pick... they wont get ablett type compo we will get 2 first rounders if we are lucky in the event Scully leaves, Callan will be a 10 year player... blah blah is just an act to get value, dont take it as true value, thast more than what they would get on the open market for him

I went to school with the writer of that article, good bloke who i went through university with as more of a mutual friend, knows his footy, not that he says alot about the kid as a whole, hard when they only play some U18's and injure themselves throughout the carnival
-
kennedy from SA is also a BIG name when it comes to this draft, those are the 4, weather four are traded this year is another thing
-
Yeah i heard good things about the guy when drafted also, rookie spot cant hurt, could be the small forward we need?

cant remember anyone posting this comment form the article on sportsnewsfirst....http://www.sportsnewsfirst.com.au/articles/2011/09/05/melbourne-departures-start/ Robert 5 September 2011 12:41PM Unfortunate for Melbourne for him to want to go. There are virtually no MFC players who have developed and improved in the AFL this year and nearly all are playing with no confidence in the MFC system and in themselves. He is the type of player you need to win a premiership. It will be very fortunate for a new club in the hunt for a premiership where consistency, reliability and performance does matter. It will be interesting to see what clear, proven coaching and people management will produce in him. Warnock is a rare tall backman and one for a club to build a spine and structure around. This is possibly the start of many more who want out of Melbourne!! Could this be his brother by any chance lol.....love the highlited bits, sounds a bit sour grapes imo lol

Caro is on the opposite side of the fence as all the other BIG journo's also.... maybe she gets this from Gary being so adamant TS hasnt signed. This is what i believe, and i respect the Kid even more for sticking by his word and his interests, Many would like to believe he is being selfish, but i think it is all just part of the professional unit this kid is, wont back down ALSO, Gary being asked who would he rather an experienced Coach MM or RL or Tom Scully, Gary would rather TS
-
Surely nothing has been signed officially yet.... Saints season still going, maybe a heads of agreement?
-
In all seriousness, Jager O'meara is my choice, although some say that the North Ballarat boy Crouch isnt far behind the WA star.... and would come at half the cost i imagine, go for these guys either way, any extra picks we may recieve for any reason will just give us leverage in any dealings
-
i hear there is this kid that has played 2 years in the AFL, big wraps went number 1!!!! would love him on out list, Tom something?

Worth watching also... Gawn tap down, chases it 20 minutes get it in dispute weaves through a few players, kicks it 40 metres, chases it down tackles opposition player gets free, then 50 metre penalty and kicks the goal... was epic, he is so good for a big guy 1.0 6 - 1.1 Casey winning -
I cant remember who but, but it was suggested that we may all be in need of a stiff drink once the decision is made and that we demonlanders could meet up to celebrate or commiserate, anyone still keen?
-
This is the story i heard also
-
Is it still up? surely the club would know either way, still interesting And if he was going to see GWS i think they could put him up for the night no? only polite
-
I agreed with the term damaged, i dont see how if he has "affected" the team negatively throughout the year, then saying it has damaged the club is appropriate, The extent of the damage is another issue

This, i have said it more on BF if anyone is over there, we are one Tall defender short, more of the Frawley dynamic and Mcdonald fits the bill, i wont get to excited and say best 22 ect right now but he is exactly what we need imo, and this allows Garland to dominate the mid sized forwards and can still play tall if needed, but his run yesterday, even against the Gold Coast kids was great, cant believe he was still stepping around the Kidd in the last quarter lol he was never going right....
