I didnt see TFS last night unfortunately but did like these article today, http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/to-garry-lyon-in-haste/comments-e6frf9jf-1226108639393 http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/garry-lyon-wants-melbourne-players-to-have-fun/story-e6frf9jf-1226109009444 He is saying the right things in my opinion, would have loved to hear what he had to say on TFS, sounds like some truths were told, and some people cant handle that the club obviously isnt right atm Kennett and Smorgan can shut the Frak up, wtf your clubs a joke Smorgs look in the mirror
-
So many people seem to rate Bate outside our supporter base......i dont agree with them but there was that article on the afl website, a couple of my mates said they wouldnt mind him player for Sydney etc I can see him getting a go somewhere

1st in Tackles 1st in Inside 50 3rd in Goals 3rd in Disposals If these stats dont reek as one of our better players then i dont know who would, You can add #1 in score involvements i believe to his name, Deserves to be one of the highest paid at our club atm edit : and his season has been the most consistent so far, not many players have been consistently better than he has, if any? Moloney hasnt been consistent at all, Frawley injured etc who has been better for the whole year?
-
He had some sort of stress related injury i believe before we drafted him, hence him sliding to the rookie draft
-
And if we cant get experienced, Who is James Boags????? ..... I mean M Neeld?? http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/119757/default.aspx

You say pranks dont mortify you etc, then why make it into a big deal?? Would you rather have the players strung up and stressed pre game??? Cale is having some fun, Wattsy most likely found it annoying but maybe he has done similar in the past and can appreciate that a mate would go to that much effort lol??? i know some of the most annoying pranks are thebest becasue it requires effort from them and youto fix it etc All he did was turn some things upside down......send him to jail, the VFL, Sack him, He is an AFL football player and should be drinking powerade and listening to relaxing music at 7pm in his PJ's in the drak on his own after only eating carbo loaded food and brushing his teath
-
I wouldnt be impressed if some journo was stirring me....obviously, do you think Gary would be a good fit for the coaching role, who should be the next coach bla blah DB - You should ask Gary, call him you have a phone then they push it over and over

He will be 35.. -
I for one seem to attribute our rise off field to his arrival New club emblem/image removal of debt increasing club Assets eg Bentleigh club Membership record broken multiple times all since his arrival i guess im not putting it down to coincidence
-
Thanks guys good to know im not the only one who thinks i was ace today, rest of the boys are a bit down atm though
-
lolwat? He is a gun, in Ports leadership group at 20
-
NO, Wasnt one of Craig's criticism's that he burnt players out multiple years in a row prior to finals.... i know he has a credentialed fitness knowledge background but this sticks in my head

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY

"I just get caught in the moment and stuff happens." STUFF JUST HAPPENS,People die, it happens "But if there is a quality even more remarkable than his ability to win contested ball, it's his propensity to lead" I do like this kid -
yes thats my understanding as well, all comes down to his rating next year top ten or not, also with us committing so heavily clubs may force our hand even if he isnt quite worth our pick... what is 3-4 positions in actual draft order to sign the "son of a gun MFC captain" we will pay our first rounder
-
They can gamble and not trade any picks this year, finish bottom and take O'meara in 2012, they have 2 years to trade these 17yo picks so could trade them all next year for a draft which wont cost them the best player in it.....lachie whitfield is in 2012 i believe so he is still a good #1 if they do trade the picks this year
-
Vince has barley played this year to my knowledge, or having a down season....dont think he is the quality i would wan to add to our list
-
Isnt one a mid first rounder? so say pick 11? that one is very valuable considering the wraps on the 2012 draft, also we got Tapscott at 18 or so, Fyfe went at 20 any first rounder is valued
-
Collingwood paid similar overs in relation to other teams spending during the whole part of the past decade and didnt win one premiership, many teams succeeded without such a spend, Collingwood is an outlier atm and will continue to be, the average spend is much lower Although higher football department spending will benefit clubs, you dont BUY premierships
-
My original argument was that clubs at or close to a premiership will now be able to easily top up with quality older players when current ones retire extending windows, also that such players may join a team later in careers and sacrifice money to do so, which you disagree with, but suggest players will leave lower teams when 28+ to lengthen their careers, seems to me that you are contradicting yourself I understand the salary cap im saying that players may sacrifice money not hundreds but if a few give up 50K each, it opens space etc, its off topic anyway
-
You really dont take in much do you? you said that clubs wont be able to pick up players, the fact that Collingwood recruited Tarrant, Ball and Jolly for what ever reason means they can, also Ball went for good money, but took a significant pay cut this year i believe to help with Cloke etc, im suggesting things will get worse, Ball being an example of people wanting to be part of success, yes he went prior to the premiership but he didnt go to Richmond he went to a successful club at the time who won i premiership. Do you follow Basketball at all?, Lebron and Wade and Bosh all being paid less than market value to earn a premiership, weather successful or not, it happens
-
you could say they chased a premiership at another club??? pushing them over the edge?? *Cough* Free agency *Cough*
-
If you are losing players to other clubs it mean you have an ABUNDANCE of talent, this is good, we will be compensated, i like this idea, you will always lose players we need to deal with this it happens to all clubs, Geelong lost many players over the journey won 2 flags and are still challenging GC having kids "ripe for the pickings" will surely push us over the edge so why recruit anyone we may lose another player on our list......these kids will push our cap further than any 17yo will
-
point number 1, yes every day of the week, Jolly, Ball, Ball took a huge cut this year to help out the pies, they will do it for a serious chance a ta flag Point 2, old player wont move to teams low on the ladder as they are rebuilding why would they bother?? what does the player get apart from a game?? Point 3, you hit on the head well done im suggesting team who consistently play finals will be able to draw such talent on the move to them Also clubs cant stop players moving under full free agency, where atm they need to go into the draft if a deal cannot be struck, removes all the risk from switching clubs dream that nothing will change if you want, the AFL is just catching up with the rest of the world, its inevitable

What you said is true, i like Cook, the lynch referred to is however the WC one
