  1. So Cats get Frawley for nothing and we get Bradbury for nothing, the system works...
  2. "HAWTHORN coach Alastair Clarkson has emphatically rejected rumours he is set to become Adelaide's coach, calling ex-Crow Andrew Jarman "a clown" http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-09-25/clarko-to-the-crows
  3. The same Andrew Jarman who said Clarko is a done deal to coach Adelaide?
  4. Yet you said this was fantasy in the Dangerfield thread...
  5. Could Dangerfield do for us what Ablett does for GCS?
  6. See your point but I'd much rather they focus on a more equitable home and away fixture first...
  7. Will be interesting to see how they compete with the hawks, winning an away final in Perth is no small feat.
  8. Yep. And too often distracted by the footy and demonland during work hours!
  9. Okay so I found out the answer myself...Sydney in 2012.
  10. Anyone know the last time a team won the GF without playing in a PF the previous year? Was it Geelong in 2007?
  11. Seems like the gap between 1 and 6 much greater than between 3 and 6
  12. If Vince is happy then I'm happy. Gotta love that fella!
  13. Either way the beauty of the succession plan is that the club has two years to gauge whether he is the man for the job and improve any deficiencies before handing over the keys...
  14. Positive if true but still don't mean much. I recall Bradshaw and Riscitelli touring Carlton's facilities and look where they ended up...
  15. I would personally be really disappointing to lose Trengove, even if he doesn't become a gun like we hoped he could still be a very valuable contributor to the 22 and I'll never forget the faith he showed after the 186 debacle
  16. Vince on twitter - "Absolutely wrapped to have my old captain/mentor/mate Simon Goodwin coaching at the Dees. #gun! Really excited about 2015 and beyond!!"
  17. It is hard to get particularly excited about this appointment when I and many others were hoping Roos would decide to stay on and take us to that elusive 13th flag. But one thing that strikes me is that although its easy to think that Goodwin's involvement in the Essendrug saga leaves his a bit tainted, I think it also means he is at least better prepared to deal with the alleged psychology issues at Melbourne, given that despite all that went down the Bombers still managed to make the finals last year (only to be disqualified) and weren't too far off the mark this year. Given the wraps that Goodwins seems to be getting as a very personable bloke, surely he must have played a role in keeping the players focused as best they could.
  18. Sounds like Goodwin has possibly gone behind his management company's back to do a deal just like Ross Lyon did....
