Yeah it sucks he's gone but we were always lucky to have poached him to begin with, and given how little output we got from him over the last season and a half, I don't think his absence is going to be glaringly obvious come round 1. While I severely doubt there is any likelihood of Kennedy being traded out, its not out of the question that one of Sydney's younger mids could be shaken out. I also can't help but wonder if the AFL's move to prevent them from trading in players was done to try to force them to trade out a player in exchange for picks to a lowly club like us?

While not the most inspiring interview of all time I though it was quite a refreshing to have a player who hasn't been trained to churn out the same old lines. Also like the fact he said when he's enjoying his footy he plays his best, which I think fits nicely with the coaching approach of Roos.
