  1. Well that's just disrespectful to the pretty much full strength team we just fielded, barring Hogan and injuries.
  2. Haha did you really say that? Bold call! *howls*
  3. You'd think he'd be a Brownlow chance according to how some people talk him up. Still needs plenty of development.
  4. Wow Garlett. Always gets the hard ones! ...If Watts cleaned up his disposal today he'd be BOG.
  5. Why does Grimes always take so long to get it on the boot!?!?!!
  6. Our footy IQ must still be bottom 3-4 in the league. We are plagued by little silly mistakes that other teams just don't make. God we are butchering a lot of forward opportunities.
  7. Yeah if Hogan is injured at all this year, we're going to have very little else to go to up forward.. especially the haphazard way we deliver it. Hope Sam Weideman comes along quickly! This game is extremely cluttered - will surely open up as the game (and heat) progresses. I think we'll step it up then.
  8. Do you not remember the game against this exact team last year? Yes we kicked badly but Essendon managed to beat us with a vastly under-strength team (which will be similar to 2016), coming off a 110 point loss to St Kilda.
  9. African Americaned = 'Blacked out'?
  10. Boring, ugly, insipid, tentative, skill-free football. That's what we've been reduced to. The zero confidence the players are exuding tells me they don't want to play for Roos, won't buy into his game plan, or just plain can't execute to the slightest degree. Ugh.
  11. Fitzy in for Garland? It's a pity they don't give out Supercoach points for falcons.
  12. Consistent attitude and effort is all part of the learning process. He'll learn from today.
  13. Horrible. Hate losing to Essendon, their supporters are smug a-holes, they don't deserve this win. When the ball hit the deck in the forward line we applied zero pressure - because nobody could be assed busting their gut to follow the kick in and provide support. How many times in the last 6 weeks have the oppositions loose defenders made us look stupid just because we bloody let them? The lack of intensity from some players is worrying. Tyson is a major culprit of this. He's the kind of guy that mans the mark, then won't apply any pressure when the ump calls play on. Just puts one hand up. I hope Roos makes an example of him, we don't need another Travis Johnstone 2.0 but without the kicking skills. Bloody get stuck in and stand up for us mate! Our forward systems are shocking. Hogan and the others never seem to be able to get free to lead in a straight line and demand it, it's constantly crowded. But up the other end Daniher always has a 2 metre break to run and jump unencumbered on to anything in his area..How does that happen? They had nothing else down there to worry about! T Mac's confidence is down so he plays behind more often than he should at the moment - and it's hurting us. Bad. Bad day.
  14. Great bump by Jetta Absolutely p*ssweak from Guthrie.
  15. Here I was thinking this would be a stress free afternoon watching us inevitable lose to a much better team. Now I think it's more likely to be a highly stressful close loss to a much better team.
  16. McDonald is having one of those days where I hope the ball goes nowhere near him.
  17. Ha. I said we might get 8 wins and everyone at work was calling me a pessimist and disagreeing with me. but..... MELBOURNE No one gets how bad we are at making decisions and how very few genuinely good players we have.
  18. FML. Just comes down to silly mistakes and the collection of little moments in the game doesn't it. We played pretty well overall I thought, better than the usual tripe. I want more meaningful impact out of Tyson, he just cruises through games. Had anyone noticed Hogan can't kick 50 metres? It's almost getting to that stage of the year where it becomes pointless winning games and you just want to see effort and a close-ish contest.
  19. When it's a tense game with a lot of pressure of course there's going to be blokes banging it on the boot. We're not Hawthorn, we can't just pinpoint guys under pressure at will. And obviously we don't have a glut of great decision makers. For those reasons we should never allow a loose man back. However Roos is now on 360 now saying that the players were supposed to square up the numbers themselves, and didn't do it.
  20. Woeful performance, game was done in the first 20 minutes again. Jones & Tyson have both looked hampered by something all year. We look woefully slow, can't remember anyone breaking the lines except for Lumumba. Toumpas showed intent but his lack of pace doesn't help us at all, I'd rather Matt Jones. Howe was M.I.A. I miss the 90's when we used to run off half back with an exciting chain of handballs and overlap. We were timid and weak. Tackles getting broken everywhere. But worst of all, the skills. Oh god the skills. What hope have we got when we kick like that.
  21. Not sure he's the type of character we need down at Melbourne anyway.. Source: my vibe
  22. There were multiple opportunities offered when Melbourne players looked up from half back, desperate for an option. And there was Watts, jogging slowly in small circles. Making an art form of always being just slightly too close or slightly too far away.
  23. yeah not his greatest night, every time the ball went near him it was a bad result for the team. Jamar was the same in the first half but really applied himself in the second... which pleasingly was one of the factors behind our win. Whilst Watts is embarrassing 50% of the time, the elusive promise of his best is enough to keep him in for at least another week.
  24. Yeah what the hell! I had to go back and buy another one, the cheeky jerks
