  1. Hogan missing AGAIN in a big game. Petracca HELLO? Oscar absolutely terrible again. Stuffed our momentum multiple times with his sloppiness. Admit he's awful. I can't excuse him any more. Midfield tried hard. Did all they could. Not you Tyson, everyone else. Lost it with our forward entries YET AGAIN. Sloppy free after sloppy free. No composure. Fumble fumble. We are pretenders as everyone expected.

This is embarassing. Our composure is deplorable. Luckily they're just as bad. Can someone step up and look like they have some balls?
  8. FIrst half decent team in 6 weeks and we get found out in a big way - make no mistake, this was a smacking. No Reid, Elliot, Moore - and they made us look second rate. Unbelievable unaccountability today - I've never seen so many loose players, and so many of our guys with no appetite for the contest. Hogan? Where were you? Skirted the packs all day. Deemoralised.
  9. I just couldn't get in to that game but a wins a win. A few things I learned today: 1. Watching live, we blew so many simple chances to score and a top 8 team would definitely make us pay. Travel is a cop-out, it was only decision making and confidence that prevented another 100 pointer. 2. Firing rocket handballs at a team mate from a metre away seems to be in vogue. And so many straight to feet. Handballing was sloppy today even without Dom in the team. 3. Oscar is playing his role but is so so slow to react after the spoil, and lacks intensity. It looks like we are a player short in the contest. We will get found out with Lever gone. I think Joel Smith might be the best replacement at this stage as he attacks the ball in the air hard. 4. The Bulldogs are a rubbish team. They sharked a huge amount of Gawns taps and then just threw it away. They have no spirit at all.
  10. Is it just me, or does the singing of the song speed up a little bit more every season and make it lose all impact? The boys can't even enjoy it any more because none of them can take a breath! Slow it back down lads!

The key part where this theory breaks down is how poorly O Mac (his main competition) is playing. But maybe that's the role he was brought in to do.
  12. Consistent attitude and effort is all part of the learning process. He'll learn from today.
  13. Morton has had some decent games and some woeful games this year. So have nearly all the boys at some point. but moving forward...I'm not sure if he has a place. I see Morton as being the Anti-Tingay. When Tingay had a 50-50 contest looming, I always felt confident he was going to win it, then do the right thing with it. More often than not he did. Yes Morton is a different body type....but he's just too soft, too uncertain. The 50-50's almost always go against him. It's embarrassing sometimes. The next few weeks are going to be a fight for his life to stay on the list I suspect.
