Our effort all over the ground was laughable today. When you're seeing free Port players all over the ground, it just shows a complete lack of respect and intensity from a big chunk of players. One piece of play summed it up for me: - Gray was waiting to deliver it just outside his 50. Salem loose, looked around and saw Westhoff ambing out of the goals square on his own and thought 'too big for me, I'm not taking him'. - Oscar then came over to take him, but that left Ryder on his own. - Gray kicks to Ryder, overcooks it, but Oscar decides he's going to have to take him now, Ryder just lets it go over his head but Oscar runs and jumps under the ball, completely missing it for his second embarrassing high ball misjudgement of the day. - Ball falls straight into unmarked Westhoff's hands, simple goal. As good as Salem was today, that was a p*ssweak moment from him... And Oscar... well if you're slow and non competitive when the ball hits the ground, you'd better be a bloody good spoiler and body on body player, but he's neither of those either. This is the kind of rubbish effort that will get brought up on 'On The Couch' by Garry Lyon - and so it should. Selfish and clumsy football, crap start to the year. This better not be repeated or you'll see a lot of people drop off this bandwagon.

3 or 4 times today Oscar has gone to ground to tackle a player already off their feet... No use to anyone down there buddy!

I think little finger. Compound fracture means the bone has broken the skin I believe, so I'd say minimum one month for a small bone to heal. Plates these days can help though.

We don't seem to have addressed our inability to lock the ball in the forward line as per last week's issues. Ground ball keep coming straight back out when our forwards can't clunk it. Maybe Brisbane has dropped a lot of numbers back but it looks too easy for them.

Most of the comments were based on the first quarter - and warranted. Significant improvement since then clearly.

Are we taking the pi$$? We look incredibly sloppy in all facets of the game. Our skill level is a real worry. Hopefully JKH just has bone bruising or something else not too ominous. Hyperextension is better than a twisting type knee injury usually..fingers crossed ?

Well... it's clear we didn't spend the Summer working on crumbing or forward pressure - because both are embarrassingly non-existent today. No hunger for the contest. ...and of course we're still blazing it in on top of the forward's heads. Not sure what we can take out of this except fitness.

Absolutely woeful! Missed heaps for both sides. Gave them a goal but probably cost them a couple too. Slightly worked in our favour by the end I reckon. How Tyson didn't get done holding the ball on the goal line in the 2nd qtr I don't know, Jesus Christ.

We can't take Tyson into a final. We just can't.

agree.. Jesse has been disappointing in the last half of the season. Sooks if it doesn't fall into his hands then stands there and doesn't put the second effort in - he just seems mentally fragile and fades out of games for long periods. And when people mention delivery...well T Mac is on the receiving end of the same rubbish and continually butters up and manages to turn it into goals. I still think I'd like to see Hoges tried at CHB if Weids ever progresses..

Hey Goodwin. Due to our season-long poor delivery into the forward line, how about we don't allow them to have a spare man?

How will Oscar ever develop into a good player when he has the agility of a dead walrus? Not his fault, but it's just never going to happen for him. We're a laughing stock with him as our key. And what's even worse is there's not much else. Poor recruiting. We've had some spuds in this area over the years, Seecamp, Nicholson, Carroll, they've all been a bit NQR. It's sad to see a recent strength become our biggest weakness. Season was done the day Lever went down.

wow, I actually can't recall Jesse kicking too many from that distance (50M) He's not a long kick for a big guy.

Literally 5-6 dogs running completely free out of every contest. They know we can't catch them. It's f'n embarassing to watch.

haha yes this. Anyone who thinks Tyson would fix this is definitely on the spectrum. Maybe when the AFL decrees that handballs to feet are worth points we'll bring back Tyson.

A team with our 'skill' execution does not deserve to play finals

I think it's just a bit of pragmatism based on the significantly under-strength and youthful opposition. We're not going to get away with this amount of wasted forwards opportunities against a half decent team. Around the ground we've been fantastic though.

He barely leads then keeps losing 1 on 1's - contested marks are just not his game at the moment - I'd get him out of the forward line and just leave T Mac deep. He's in a real rut.
