Box Hill Hawks v Casey Demons - VFL Round 1
Absolutely nailed the key issues. Lack of footskills mean we rarely hit a lead. Lack of aerial ability means we rarely take contested marks.. so bombing it doesn't work either. That's why I was bloody annoyed when we lost Howe. At least he was better than 50/50 with the ball in the air. When I look at the surplus of key marking/intercept players the Eagles (and many other teams have) it makes me weep for our future.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
And not pick up May to address CLEARLY the worst part of our team? Are you Oscar McDonald?

Operation get rid of Oscar and ANB!
to be fair, the back position was always going to win that contest, especially with you being able to use hands now. Frost should have been closer to his man in the first place though.

Operation get rid of Oscar and ANB!
This ☝️. At least Frost attacks the ball and has the athleticism to apply a second effort. Oscar can't even master the defensive basics of applying a spoil... he's off with the fairies, doesn't know whether to go for the ball in flight or body his man and ends up doing neither. It's embarrassing. You would love to play on him, you can beat him in so many different ways. We are taking the p*ss with this project and it's making us a laughing stock.

Omac and Frost: Premiership Kryptonite
I miss Lynden, he was twice the player Oscar was. He actually wanted the ball.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Both Wagners in? That's meant to make our side better? If Stretch can't get a game with all these outs then what is the point of having him on the list?

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
We are a poorly skilled team - going forward it hurts us double, as we can't accurately kick to advantage - or take advantage of a flying shot at goal on the run from 50.. Too many rushed hacked kicks from players like Brayshaw, Neale-Bullen, Viney etc. If I was playing against us I'd do exactly what most teams do - let us do the hard work then flood numbers back (don't even have to man up), and beat us easily on the break with pace and skill. Cue some panic from Frost, a misjudgement of flight from Omac and voila you've got yourself a sausage or 10. Against Melbourne you just sit back and wait for the kicking error. You're right though, if they beat us at all out of the middle we are stuffed. Imagine if Gawn went down this year? *shudders*

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
How was Gawn beaten by Stanley? Gawn had 53 hitouts to 27, and nearly doubled Stanley's AFL Fantasy points. Disposals were 13-14 but Gawn's were all kicks. Gawn also laid 4 tackles to 0. He wasn't at his best but that's a dominant display over an opposing ruckman.

Injury List - Season 2019
You reckon he singled her out because she is a woman and therefore 'below him'? That's a big call. I don't think any of his major gaffes have been for those reasons, just dumb comments without thinking. I.E his 'old campaigner' comment to Kane Cornes... who happens to be a white male. By the way, does someone become immune from being included in a bit of light criticism over their coin tossing ability when they lose their legs? What a ridiculous beat up.

Injury List - Season 2019
absolutely ridiculous call from the club at the time... not sure why HE even allowed it to happen, he could barely move!

GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Geelong
We are the filthiest team going forward in the history of the game. Skill level is rubbish, it's going to cost us in plenty of games again this year, as per usual. Sloppy sh*t and painful to watch.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
Our effort all over the ground was laughable today. When you're seeing free Port players all over the ground, it just shows a complete lack of respect and intensity from a big chunk of players. One piece of play summed it up for me: - Gray was waiting to deliver it just outside his 50. Salem loose, looked around and saw Westhoff ambing out of the goals square on his own and thought 'too big for me, I'm not taking him'. - Oscar then came over to take him, but that left Ryder on his own. - Gray kicks to Ryder, overcooks it, but Oscar decides he's going to have to take him now, Ryder just lets it go over his head but Oscar runs and jumps under the ball, completely missing it for his second embarrassing high ball misjudgement of the day. - Ball falls straight into unmarked Westhoff's hands, simple goal. As good as Salem was today, that was a p*ssweak moment from him... And Oscar... well if you're slow and non competitive when the ball hits the ground, you'd better be a bloody good spoiler and body on body player, but he's neither of those either. This is the kind of rubbish effort that will get brought up on 'On The Couch' by Garry Lyon - and so it should. Selfish and clumsy football, crap start to the year. This better not be repeated or you'll see a lot of people drop off this bandwagon.

GAMEDAY: JLT 02 vs Brisbane
3 or 4 times today Oscar has gone to ground to tackle a player already off their feet... No use to anyone down there buddy!

GAMEDAY: JLT 02 vs Brisbane
I think little finger. Compound fracture means the bone has broken the skin I believe, so I'd say minimum one month for a small bone to heal. Plates these days can help though.

GAMEDAY: JLT 02 vs Brisbane
We don't seem to have addressed our inability to lock the ball in the forward line as per last week's issues. Ground ball keep coming straight back out when our forwards can't clunk it. Maybe Brisbane has dropped a lot of numbers back but it looks too easy for them.

GAMEDAY: JLT 02 vs Brisbane
Most of the comments were based on the first quarter - and warranted. Significant improvement since then clearly.

GAMEDAY: JLT 02 vs Brisbane
Brayshaw! God his kicking is frustrating.

GAMEDAY: JLT 02 vs Brisbane
Are we taking the pi$$? We look incredibly sloppy in all facets of the game. Our skill level is a real worry. Hopefully JKH just has bone bruising or something else not too ominous. Hyperextension is better than a twisting type knee injury usually..fingers crossed ?

GAME DAY: Melbourne vs Richmond - JLT #1
Well... it's clear we didn't spend the Summer working on crumbing or forward pressure - because both are embarrassingly non-existent today. No hunger for the contest. ...and of course we're still blazing it in on top of the forward's heads. Not sure what we can take out of this except fitness.

Mark Neeld's Spray on Morton.
Morton has had some decent games and some woeful games this year. So have nearly all the boys at some point. but moving forward...I'm not sure if he has a place. I see Morton as being the Anti-Tingay. When Tingay had a 50-50 contest looming, I always felt confident he was going to win it, then do the right thing with it. More often than not he did. Yes Morton is a different body type....but he's just too soft, too uncertain. The 50-50's almost always go against him. It's embarrassing sometimes. The next few weeks are going to be a fight for his life to stay on the list I suspect.
