  1. Gil’s legacy -Umpiring - now with 4 - at an all time low. Helped the Pies win 3 finals. -ARC - pathetically underfunded and helps Blues into finals and to win 2 - MRO, tribunal and appeals board hopelessly compromised, inconsistent and untrustworthy Enjoy your parting bonus and go off and play polo. Leave our game alone.
  2. You surely forgot the lizard Maynard
  3. Without a shadow of doubt the AFL will make to up as they go along The best thing would be to send the Roos hopping down to Hobart and become the Devils. Apart from anything else it would avoid making the "draw" aka FIXture even more inequitable by throwing in a bloody bye. We all know which teams will get the horror bye round 1 or 2, or last few rounds, and which ones will get it nicely spaced out.
  4. What I expect you are alluding to is that bone on bone means different things in different cases - no two are the same. I hope the you are not suggesting that those to whom you referred had better pain tolerance, or more determination than BB and TM.
  5. Nobody knows how Brundy would have gone for MFC in the finals because he wasn't selectedy. All else is speculation. Reading that transcript just reminds me why I don't listen to empty airheads on drive radio. Appalling and rude - and I expect she thought it was really funny.
  6. Reasonable alternative, though I would prefer to see him stretchered off in the first minute after Zorko takes him and Cox 😎out at the opening bounce.
  7. Serious question Jimmy, why not? I have zero idea about Jordie’s coaching ability, but it was widely believed that he was the hardest worker in training - not the most skilled player but never say die type who I wouldn’t dismiss out of hand. Surely being a great player doesn’t necessarily make you e great coach, (Hird, Buckley, Voss #1) and vice versa. Jordie could inspire by his work ethic but who actually knows?
  8. He certainly finds space, is quick off the mark, and kicks straight. PS listening to the commentary reminds me (as if I needed reminding) just what an awful commentator is Derrwwwayne. Pretending to sound astounded at every play.
  9. Some do, some don’t ever. I am sure he is being closely monitored. 🤞🙏 No pressure on the guy who isn’t eligible for drafting, and if and when he does you are asking him to play the hardest position on the ground. Yes, it would be nice. Thanks.
  10. So one has to wonder why the hell was he named, then never used, as sub in a cutthroat semi final when our other tall forward wasn’t delivering anything much? Absolute mystery.
  11. Did both clubs “shop him out” or did / does Chol not want to play under Hardwick?
  12. 🤔 We should have learned from Sam Weideman - lovely guy, trains hard, but just zero aggression.
  13. Thanks for that summary. A smoky who I have totally forgotten about was Sestan. From what little I have seen of him (TV only) and heard he seems an excitement machine if he develops AFL level fitness. Another medium 188cm forward but with just a bit of a difference. May take another year but worth keeping an eye on. GO DEES
  14. Integrity and AFL in the same paragraph? Interesting. Ouch! That worked out really well in both our finals, didn’t it? North made PF what, 7 years ago, and have mismanaged their list. How do they qualify for special assistance?
  15. Perhaps that is exactly why McAdam prefers to play under the apprentice than under Burgess. Clarry was allowed time (frustrating as hell to him and to us) to recover; McAdam was, or feels he was, forced along too quickly and reinsured.
  16. Like father, like son. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of him over the coming years. IMVHO he would have been a far better sub that the ones we selected in both finals.
  17. Do we know which umpires awarded votes at all? Is it a consensus, or maybe they decide that one will do the votes this week, another next week. Maybe it is the senior one? Sure as hell #22 wouldn’t offer any to a Demon.
  18. There are a few dynamics with our mid forward connection Did you mean a few dynamics, or few dynamics? Stephan King - are you referring to Jeff White’s assailant, or the author?
  19. Of course no conflicts of interest anywhere in the AFL - nor in their partners, Sportsbet. And the votes are kept in a locked box and nobody has any idea about who is in the lead, especially the appeals board late 2022 - 🙄🙄🙄
  20. Just a question about linguistics - or perhaps semantics Can an opinion actually be wrong, or can it only be unfounded or unsupported or unpopular? It is after all personal and founded on one’s own perceptions on an issue?
  21. Norm Smith did ok coaching from the bench (in his gabardine overcoat) 🤗❤️💙 Wodja - just warning you - you are not alone 🤗 Seriously I would seriously consider not following the club I have loved for 70 odd years.
  22. Maybe they could take each other out?
  23. Looking forward to thug Zorko KOing Maynard at the 3 minute mark - in a football action of course.
  24. But “so brave”. Didn’t hear that about us last year.
  25. So maybe the maggots actually are incompetent rather than corrupt? Though of course, there are live margin bets 🙄
