PODCAST: Practice Match vs Carlton
I canโt agree that Caleb is less urgent that TJ who I remember as about as lackadaisical as JW4. Caleb seemed to have a lot of urgency. Surely the devil incarnate would support Demons, unless he perceived them as a rival or a threat, in which case he would quickly dispatch them to Pyongyang central slaughterhouse.

2024 Opening Round Team
[Tomlinson and TMcD]. Yes TMcD appears to be on his last legs, though he is strong and experienced - IF fully fit can definitely play a role, forward or back. Tomlinson though unspectacular does seem to gel well with May and Lever. Jed Adams we all hope may be ready for a run later in 2024, and must make a definite move by 2025 if he is to be taken seriously. Turner - horrible luck with injury. Fitters and Turners are what keeps the wheels turning - lest hope he finally gets a good run at it. Could be a real star.

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Carlton
Bloody hell - "obvious major rift in the troubled Demons' camp" will be the next headline. They were having a discussion FFS. Certainly one of the most underrated players running around. Bloody hard worker, determined, courageous, and yes, not the best disposer but not the worst either. Langers kicked quite a few especially in 2021, and later prior to the Thomas assault. Cripps also threw quite a few - and though he was badly done by when he was penalised for one of them. Chatted back in a manner that cost us the preseason v them a couple of years back, with ?8 x 50 meter penalties. He is such a smug bastard IMO.

And also I think they reminded everyone that MFC have only been out of the top 4 for (I think) 2 weeks I the past 3 seasons. Is that some sort of record? ADDITIONS: Kicking lower into the forward line โค๏ธ ๐ with a lot more movement up forward. Windsor looks a goer - smooth, fast and composed. Billings will add poise. Still undecided about Laurie. Shack improved over last year (and of course over his last game ๐คฆโโ๏ธ) though still needs some angry pills. Mini cameos from Kynan and Kolt suggest that they will be important later 2024 or in 2025. Verrall got a taste - a year or so away, of course for a young ruck. bring on the real season. Go Dees

One would be required to have a conscience for then to carry this as a burden. Which I have heard rumoured could bankrupt the AFL Assuming common sense (or decency) from the AFL is a big leap. Agree 100% re Gus: too bad about the other guy. Of course the body running (or ruining*) OUR game will yet again make a ruling in the run. It is their specialty. *autocorrect can sometimes be very perceptive.- Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement

Gil et al may have been almost as happy had they been able to formulate a Blues' one. I have certainly fallen out of love with the AFL: couldn't bring myself to watch either of the PFs nor any of the GF. Still love the Demons however. There was absolutely no need to make up another new rule - for years it has been emphasised again and again that if one chooses to leave the ground and cause an injury (or in the case of Kozzie even if you don't) you are liable - special exceptions being for CFC or CFC players around finals time of course. Brilliant Goffy Can tear the heart out, or make them stronger. Over to you all, players. Maybe he could present the cup to his teammates after the GF.- Compensation for the loss of Angus

Just catching up with the great podcast - thanks so much. Fantastic to have you all back. You were mentioning that Clarrie isn't yet fully fit for round 0 - I believe that he has been working his [censored] off when away from the club, put in all the running and gym stuff; if so why isn't he ready for round 0?- NON-MFC: Match SIMs

Looking forward to listening in again for 2024. I couldn't see the game - mainly interested in the new guys, and Howes who some said had a shocker (?HBF?). There wasn't much mention of the Kolt in the thread. Is VerraIl looking more than promising? I know he didn't play but from what any of you have seen earlier in the preseason is Fullerton a better bet than the Shack? Anyway - will try to get through the podcast Wednesday or Thursday - thanks to you all.- POSTGAME: Match SIM vs Richmond

Of course they will be changed - unless there are some Geelong FS available.- Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
I would always be concerned that a tall defender takes ruck duties in the backline - it leaves his match up unattended. Less of a problem with forwards IMVHO. Do we actually know how much running fitness Clarrie has been gaining when he was away from the club? Wayne - I really would love you to be right but like so many I have my doubts. Here's hoping.- Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
Taylor certainly identifies players with the necessary footy Craft Nobody really replaces anyone come round 1 - pretty much a clean slate except for a core few (Max, May, Tracc, Ollie when fit, ANB)- PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 7th February 2024
