  1. How good would it be if they both โ€œretiredโ€ over the off season. BT could try some more confined space welding or amateur electrical work. (Only joking - first sentence excepted)
  2. Wait for the next vindictive installment from the usual suspects. โ€A besieged Victorian AFL coach jumped off a cliff whilst in hiding from journalists hoping to share important impartial information, on a remote Indonesian island and was fortunate enough to land near a random surfer who rescued him.โ€ ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿคฎ โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
  3. And what position(s) does he play?
  4. BBP - sounds a bit defeatist. Finish top 2 (or 4) and bugger recent finals history, each season is a new one. Just win the QF and the next two. Easy stuff ๐Ÿคซ
  5. Riv is becoming of my favourites - dash, courage, intent, disposal accuracy as well as distance. (A hell of a long way back but a bit reminiscent of Tony Anderson #11 of the 1964 Premiership team) Yes, if Bowey McVee and maybe Howes continue to develop, and Salo recovers his fitness and form, I could see him as a very damaging midfielder. Quick, evasive hard tackler and booming kick. The only slightly sour point in the interview (made just before the Collingwood QF of course) was his modelling his game on Maynard ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ. I hope he has changed that little bit.
  6. Didn't see any thing on 7 either. Lots of Collingwood coverage of course.
  7. Edi-Asp was also the home of Stan Alves as I recall.
  8. But was Nick Riewoldt jumping on top of Joel? I guess that all depends n whether he was going to drown without help or not? Swimming with a dislocated shoulder can be challenging.
  9. Interesting. Looking at JVR I would say he plays more like 196-198 cm.
  10. Maybe Caddy could help him with this?
  11. Burning dwarves? Or was that before his time? I was reliably told that I listened with great interest the drawn GF and the replay between sleeps in my bassinet.
  12. But can he carry your golf bag and give expert advice on course strategy? And of course rake bunkers for you?
  13. Yes but wouldnโ€™t Carltonโ€™s ARC officer be even better? Please, can we have both?
  14. Willmoy - only one??
  15. Do any of you experts have reservations about Tasmanians given the imminent inevitable draft concessions and tweaks?
  16. Wouldnโ€™t be overawed when he enters the G in front of a big crowd having done that already And interstate clubs would all have to say no as he seems to like his mum. Highlights reels being just that, he looks super quick off the mark and did not miss a target.
  17. JV7โ€™s dad, was an awful set shot kick early on but presumably through hard work and persistence was OK at the end of his career. So there is hope as long as we hope and donโ€™t write off.
  18. Surely given all the kerfuffle that is going on in recent days, we need an in depth period of self reflection, and recommitment. Who amongst you is genuinely serious about getting the best out of yourself and from the team as a whole? Not who would like to, but who really wants to? Who is prepared to make sacrifices - personal, recreational, physical - for team success? There seems to be far too much self indulgence at least in some - I probably sound like a cranky old bugger (which I am) but if you are not prepared to go all in full time maybe you should look elsewhere or get another job?
  19. And can we have both? But when it doesnโ€™t work as planned - straight through the middle
  20. He may have just burst? (Sorry - out of here) ๐Ÿ™„
  21. Just spread and break up the defence, even if nobody is ever going to kick it to you, they might to someone else !
  22. Welcome to Demonland Shane. Just be warned and aware this can be a bit of a madhouse sometimes so take with a grain - no perhaps a big sack - of salt some of what you will be reading here. There will Inevitably some who will label you a failure, waste of space or worse unless you come close to the Coleman, the Brownlow and the Norm Most of us here though will support you and give you every chance to prove yourself Welcome
  23. Just saying that Alice is a shorter trip than Perth or Brisbane, and really much the same as Adelaide and Sydney as far as travel is concerned. And 2023 aside, Alice is usually great non confronting weather. ๐Ÿ‘ The AFL call it split. Maybe they canโ€™t spell s**t?
  24. โ€œBecause of slow ball movement, our forward line was typically congested with defenders and our forwards weren't leading into space or moving much at all.โ€ Good point, however the reverse could also apply - forwards failing to lead into space (or indeed to lead at all resulting in clumped packs) results in mids not able to find a decent target and hanging on to it longer waiting for an option. Either way significant improvement and change is required.
