  1. I am absolutely certain that DumbItrou would find, or create, some loophole, though not of course were a Collingwood, Carlton or Essendon player involved. (And I am not paranoid, it is just that the voices tell me that they really do hate me)!
  2. Time has long passed for Morton to be given his marching orders - go to Casey for a month, toughen up or time is up!! I am getting sick of watching his insipid efforts. Average 0.8 tackles per game - the lowest at our club from one who is now a middle level of seniority and a top draft pick, who plays a tagging and defensive role -pffff!
  3. And absolutely no prizes for guessing who is LAST on our list for average tackles per game, with an insipid 0.88 per game. Hint....skinny, tall, high draft pick, still highly rated by some on these sites! Bruise free footy at it's worst. Time long past to toughen up or head north.
  4. We are getting close to having our best cattle on the field - Tapscott, Davey, Bail, Grimes all important but each not essential. We have hit some sort of form, with three wins out of the last four. I think unprecedented under DB. Dogs are not in good form. IF we are to be taken seriously and to have progressed this year, we just MUST pass this test and challenge the Dogs at this stadium - NO EXCUSES. A win would be fantastic; a well contested game would be reasonable. DB can say all he wants, but IT IS UP TO THE PLAYERS TO GET THIS PARTICULAR MONKEY OF THEIR BACKS. MFC PLAYERS - ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH; ARE YOU DESPERATELY HUNGRY ENOUGH???
  5. Wasn't there. How did he play???
  6. I agree He is not strong or big enough to be a tall He is not quick or slick enough to be a small He is not hard enough to be a mid So, where, what, when, how, who?????????
  7. Put aside Max's first very nervous set shot at goal, which we all, Max included, will have a good laugh at in the future, Max really has hardly put a foot wrong in his three games. He has done all that is asked of him. - well done and great focus. He is currently ahead of Spencer in execution and footy smarts, regardless of injury, and of that other beanpole, the man allocated #48, Jack Fitzpatrick, who may or may not actually exist! Has anyone seen him?
  8. Surely the maggots also have some duty of care to avoid putting themselves in the line of fire - some sort of mutual obligation. I am sure if for example Chri$ Judd made contact it would be deemed to be caused by the umpire and he would be offered an apology, and 3 bonus Charlie votes!
  9. Maybe you should think before you comment - I did think , and as I remember for example Nick Sauntner said he couldn't be bothered with all the training and sacrifices required, and I am sure there are many other guys with talent but without the commitment to make the jump.
  10. Agree The Macedonian megalomaniac may well decide that we need a 20 team competition by then, with more tainted drafts, and a final 12, or two conferences (God I hate that Americanism)!
  11. Apologies Should be on line 3 with Cook.
  12. Watts Howe Cook McDonald? Jamar / Martin / Gawn Netwon / Hawkins
  13. Consider, .....maybe........if HE wants to. That may be why he ain't already. Has anyone asked him??
  14. As well as the obvious ie marking, kicking both feet etc, I like his work rate when he hasn't got the ball especially his shepherding and leading. A quality all round forward in the making.
  15. I would add Howe to that list as well. Coll plays his best up forward as a "surprise arrival" that is when he suddenly appears from a flank; I wouldn't set him as a KPP, assuming that in some way set positions exist in today's game.
  16. If they had video and a MRP in Whitten's day, he would be lucky to play more than a handful of games each year!!! Yes, the game has changed.
  17. The AFL clearly have a duty to make examples of (selected) players who behave inappropriately, inappropriately that is in the view of the MRP at one particular moment in time. Now remind me, what jumper was Sylvia wearing today - surely not the red & blue one - offer him a couple of weeks then. Do I sound paranoid??
  18. 774 just saying some bad things about Col Garland's ankle - anyone notice anything? Maybe just as well that Liam hasn't been subbed yet.
  19. Hey Clanger King - he plays for Melbourne, FCS - will be offered two with one for a guilty plea - meanwhile Buddy will get off!
  20. IF the poor bugger is injured, FCS rest him; IF he is just out of form, send him to Casey. Either way - IT IS COOK TIME!!!!
  21. If his problem is, as suggested by Cat mates, lack of consistency and lack of commitment, we don't need him.
  22. Clearly nobody knows.

    CHAOS

INT: Gawn, Gysberts, Jones, Bennell SUB: -- Bennell or Jones Gys needs more game time, regardless of what was regarded as a downer last week, and Max needs to spend time in the ruck or up forward.
  24. ...so you are suggesting that Malthouse is not in consideration, then??
  25. Roll back 12 months and I would say without a moment's hesitation an overwhelming YES. Interesting that he has rather suddenly fallen from grace after being one of their golden boys - maybe he had a run in with Bomber Thompson's Puppet Coach, aka JHird, as a player, or "offended" him in some way. Now, given TMR's time out, serendipitously big Stef has proven himself to be a more than adequate back up ruckman, and even Big Max has had a taste and has certainly not disgraced himself: at the moment he would be ahead of Spencer, and ahead of a guy listed as # 48 Fitzpatrick though I doubt if he actually exists - sort of like an ALP Branch member, I imagine. Campbell lurks in the background, so we don't need Hille.
