I would certainly prefer the dour defender TMc who regularly shuts down and beats his opponent one on one, but whose disposal can be iffy to an "elite user of the ball" who can't get the ball, nor beat his opponent. Strauss springs immediately to mind. Few are perfect (posters on footy club boards excepted, of course)
