  1. If that was an intentional pun and not a typo, ??? Pardon my failing memory, but is that the Bob Murphy story?

Was the 0.7 the one the blind maggot called a throw?

Maybe though it is a case of don’t fix what is not broken. Changing body build does not always improve.

If Smith does miss, surely Weidemann vs Pedersen will largely be determined by tomorrow’s VFL game. And the taller defenders will all be on their toes I imagine.
  5. Even on crutches IMVHO it is always best for the lower side to beat the higher side, Demons games excepted.
  6. He has clearly never heard of the aphorism ā€œthe best umpires go through the game unnoticedā€.
  7. Wiseblood This self described Dr may well not be a medico: possibly a PhD in Social Science (subcategory over reacting) ?
  8. I have never seen Petty play - have you? Wouldn’t want to throw him in before he is ready, but if he is then sure, maybe, possibly, mmm
  9. Is it definitely the same knee?
  10. IF one player’s absence means we can’t win then we aren’t ready yet.
  11. Not so simple. I seem to recall when a relative did his ACL his ortho deliberately waited a few day for swelling to subside to make a better MRI diagnosis.
  12. Hope he returns like Jake Lever, not like Dale Morris ?
  13. If he needs a MRI then almost certainly not until Monday but the 2 day delay wouldn’t effect recovery from whatever it turns out to be.
  14. It will be what it is. Please remind me who is / are playing any similar type of rƓle at Casey? Keilty? How is he coming along? Same question for Petty? It would be a backward step though could become necessary to more Tommy back?
  15. Sure, in hindsight. But had neither Lever or Milkshake gone down, not sure how the great Ped would fit into rotations quite frankly.
  16. Ken. Are you a street walker?
  17. Just caught the end of someone on ABC in rooms interview. Maybe Tommy McD? Either he or commentator said ACL was mentioned somewhere. All a bit vague, but IF a full ACL the man involved would surely know it.
  18. Thanks, TMD, for compiling and sharing that. What an absolutely freakish footy talent .... he gave us so much joy ... then so much heartbreak. One can only speculate how he could have done now, with a functional forward system, and mids and half backs who can actually deliver on a fairly regular basis.
  19. He was apparently going to be a real gun ...... until his (now ex) girlfriend Delilah gave him a trim. Never the same again.
  20. Stats obviously don’t mean a lot: maybe they didn’t go where they should have. Maybe he didn’t do other things like defensive pressure, shepherding, making space. I don’t think that the emergency list tells us a lot. Joel hasn’t seemed to be anything near what he was since Nick Riewoldt dislocated Joel’s shoulder round 1 last year. Does anyone in the know have info re his physical recovery and has he regained his confidence?
  21. Unfair āœ…. Unreasonable āœ… underserved āœ… illconsidered āœ… unbelievable sadly not. $$$ for somewhere Visy bags?

Brenno You are contradicting yourself We do not need any soft players, regardless of their upside. We showed that last trade period.
  23. Another way of thinking: nice dry and warm but not hot and humid in Alice (by day anyway), bloody freezing in Melbourne. Who doesn't feel better after a mid winter break somewhere warm? Except of course those stereotypical MFC fans who prefer snow ;-)
  24. Started with us then moved to Carlton Cuthbertson started with us I believe
