What to do with what is now Pick 32?
Inception? Incestuous? Just too true ..... absolute morons.

Half-Time breaks
Other than having to put up with much less total half time drivel on 7 what does this achieve? I do think 20 minutes is far too long but how about phasing it in to 15 for starters? As has been mentioned, and I know it is very early pre preseason, but plans are made and fitness regimens commenced based on what has been happening forever . Still, if there is, for a welcome change, only one unnecessary rule change over this inter seasonal break then I suppose we should be grateful.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
Both are fierce beasts .... no more Mr Nice Guy types. Bring it on.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Welcome. Unlike some of our previous high picks, this guy looks super competitive and seems to have the NikNat desire to remain in the contest and follow up hos disposal. We could be on a big winner here.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Hopefully excited and driven by the challenge!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Or maybe a very tall mid / ruck-rover / mid? Green in red and blue could make a very colorful picture or a terrible color clash. If you mean Whacko Mark Jacko that would be easy, but if you mean Allen Jako then as a forward option (until injured) then that would be a magnificent outcome. IF Jackson developed into a player of Buddy’s ability and excitement then we would be a big winner, and if in addition we could keep him under wraps out of playing hours (and I certainly don’t mean putting him on ice) the sky is the limit. ?????????????

Taylor Excited About the Draft
Not me Actually, unlike a certain club that trains near us and has taken over part of the MCG, MFC are usually forced to play in WA twice most seasons.

Taylor Excited About the Draft
? are not migratory birds by nature, so flying to WA would be unlikely

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Big problem is that Nick Smith’s 4-6 became 4 to 6, 4 2 6 then 426 weeks (= a bit over 8 years) In 426 weeks Harley will be in his mid 30s and if still on our list would have become a genuine list clogger. Wells. Even if he only “did a Marlin Pickett” and came in for a GF win most (though I am sure not all) who post here would be reasonably pleased ?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Well, maybe if they don’t work out, we could start a MFC Basketball team lead by Bradke and Jackson ?

TRAINING: Monday 25th November 2019
If only ... one can but dream (Weed = Tomohawk) I think that is actually 7. 48,55,56,57,59,60,64 ??????? The features of that era I miss are Red n Blue premierships.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - MITCH BROWN
Other than our two current drug refugees, when did we last get anyone worthwhile from the Bummers? Wouldn’t trust them one bit.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
IF his calves and his mind are in good shape we could well have a star of the competition coming to us virtually for free. Here is hoping that our injury curse may be behind us.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
...and vice versa?

The Splitting of Pick 8
Didn’t Chris Grand and James Hird go around those picks? (I know there are far more busts than those).
-
The Splitting of Pick 8
??????? All very confusing - I just hope our trade / draft guys know what they are doing.

Have a hard look at yourself Demonlanders
Whether it is half full or half empty, there won't ever be enough by the end of the day.

Burgess Explains His Philosophy
Running out games in the dying stages - now that IS novel in recent MFC experience. Looking forward to seeing what he can contribute, though it is ultimately up to the players.

Greg Stafford Goalkicking Messiah? - Possibly
..and I think amongst the top teams for inside 50s in 2019. Conversion and positioning seem to be the correctable issues. It is a bit like putting: the better pro players have something like 25-28 putts a round whilst us mere mortals often go closer tp 35-40, but that is not the whole story. The pros have fewer putts both because they are better putters but also because they set up many more of their putts to be closer to the hole. IF our forward / attacking coaches (and players) can set up more of our shots from front and centre rather than blazing away from the 50m arc, results should surely improve.

TRAINING: Wednesday 20th November 2019
OMG. The sky is falling. And are you suggesting 5at they don’t do live tackling drills, but rather just try it for the first time in a real match? ? Rather like most of us - he open his eyelids and let’s the light hit his retina. ? I guess most interest would historically be around how much of what did CP5 eat?
-
Forwards coach
Whether it is a 'forward coach' or just an attacking strategy I don't know, but our absolutely horrible conversion rate from a very high number of inside 50s is in desperate need of attention. Simon Badloss certainly needs help here - as some have suggested, would this be a rare and genuine opportunity for Garry Lyon to contribute to his club, after his disastrous forarys into coaching appointments?

TRAINING: Friday 15th November 2019
You opinion, based on watching him how many times at training and in how many games? deja vu is always more interesting the second time around because you just know what will happen !
-
Thank you track watcher Satyricon
To all who in their own ways like to keep those of us who are unable to attend training sessions I give a huge vote of thanks. And I am sure that all of those will slant their views in their own particular ways, but that is what makes it interesting. Keep up the great work all of you. We are all (well most anyway) grateful for your input.

2019 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch
PS: I meant to mention that I find him the most exciting #31 since that guy who migrated to Carlton in 1964 - there have been quite a few more hyped, but IMO none as exciting.
