Some sort of breakthrough news on 7 Jackson may be our for the year ? FMD, FMY, FML
-
Jackson, particularly, around the ground vs Grundy could be a fascinating contest.
-
YES, we certainly need to make far more efficient use of Max's dominance but to say we are a better team without him is a huge stretch of the imagination. Presumably rhetorical questions to stimulate this discussion. IMO if we used his dominance even 50% better we would be near unbeatable. That is a challenge for Max, the midfielders both inside and outside, and the coaching panel. Hopefully even without him our midfield will have gained confidence and belief after the most recent game (whatever day that was?). JV7 is still a big asset but needs (like many) to learn a second thing to his bow - a pressure half forward could be a great asset.

Any comments from Dive Bomber Lloyd? Which is a welcome change. Now to beat some top sides.
-
Didn't get to see the game. Especially interested in opinion from those who did on Jackson, McDonald, Spargc.
-
Hypocrite Gillon and Shocking talk of “stamping out interference off the ball” yet they tolerate this crap. So sick of AFL HQ hypocrisy.
-
Remind me - what has happened to Petty?
-
It was definitely there - hip to neck - but he did make the most of it.
-
As I said earlier, this is absolutely disgraceful corrupt behaviour, but also totally predictable. Both of Burgoyne’s were full body slam tackles; ANB was swung around by the jumper and one arm. But the inept / corrupt AFL can’t see this, or doesn’t want to more likely.
-
If Preuss is alive and can even trot, as he knows Norf’s game and players strengths and weaknesses why not try him? Moving Weed from FF would be counterproductive. Jackson can take advantage of his youth and run them off their feet after half time.
-
Nibbler threw a guy down by dragging his jumper. Burgoyne twice body slammed his opponents into the ground. Nibbler’s was trivial by comparison. If he gets any more than Burgoyne then the tribunal is officially corrupt.
-
Can we have both? ?
-
In 2018 when he was pivotal in our success, he was more than an old fashioned KPP; mobility for size was a major asset. Unfortunately, probably / possibly due to a foot injury, he has never nearly approached that mobility and his confidence has shattered with it.
-
That was last year. Does the interest necessarily persist?

Does anyone actually believe that any media folk are really unbiased and fearless, or as the ABC charter says “without bias or agenda”???? Pretty petty on the part of the AFL. No wonder we can’t believe much that we hear or read anymore. No trust. And I haven’t listened to any AFL today - has anyone anywhere had a go at Eddie’s unbelievable (yes, even for him) hypocrisy? -
Very very minimal consolation is that EssUndone got beaten by more than we did, with an even more pathetic score. Must be grateful for tiny mercies.

Scratch Match: Carlton vs Melbourne, Richmond & Essendon

All of our amazing "tactical secrets" will have been let out of the bag. Season now doomed! -
What an outrageous deliberate decision. Kicked to a contest and the contest stopped the target player getting to the ball.
-
An injury plagued Bomber who can’t get on the field - no, thanks.
-
Jackson IS a runner, plus .........
-
Maybe he will be a good or very good forward / ruckman / or even a ruckrover Barassi (or Goodes for those not fortunate enough to have seen RDB in action) type And don’t forget that Hogan definitely wanted out, had his head in WA. Got something rather than nothing.
-
Rather early in his short career to think of a statue ..... and of course the “progressives” think that statues are symbols of white male privilege so these modern iconoclasts would probably pull it down anyway.
-
Paying overs, to EssUndone, for a lame once good player would be just so Melbournian.
-
So frustrating to follow this disappointing side Just glad that there are no crowds allowed because I would have been tempted to waste my time going today.
