  1. He could stay locked in there and get takeaway. ๐Ÿ™„ But seriously I am sure he knows his weaknesses, and strengths, and the need (as with almost all draftees) to build up physique. Ghosty - I don't think people are skinny shaming him, just stating what is obvious to all Kalani included.
  2. I am bumping this thread to see what Demonlanders think, now that the dust has settled on the draft, on (given full fitness) who if any of the draftees and tradees will fit in, and where. I still have a feeling that Max Heath may fill a fifth bench position, both to give Bigger Max regular respite thus helping with his longevity, and also to allow JVR to develop as a KPF without the need to relieve rucking. "Little Max" has by all accounts shown some forward craft (that Brundy didn't) which would also make him a tall injury replacement option. Totally guessing which if any draftees will be ready too start. Tradees BM and CJ should make an immediate impact, and I suspect that Steele will slot straight in.
  3. Good fortune to Will - and many thanks for trying to help OUR club. Didn't work but I hope you find success elsewhere, and have enjoyed having "some learnings" from the greatest.
  4. Donโ€™t disrespect OUR PREMIERSHIP player even though he has hopped off to the Kangaroos.
  5. Great work putting this together. Stirring lyrics and great memories. A bit of a tear thinking of that long haired ruckman, the guy with the 5 o'clock shadow, and the redhead, who brought us such joy but will never be seen in the RnB again.
  6. As mentioned by others, Len was Hassaโ€™s cousin. In the 1960 GF he was a ruck an changing back pocket as was the thing then - I remember a photo in The Sun that showed, had we had goal review then, Collingwood have scored 1.2.8 not 2.2.14 for the match as Len marked on the goal line but the goal was called. Donโ€™t spoil a magic memory moment ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ™„
  7. Wasnโ€™t it Hassa who slotted that โ€œimpossible goalโ€ at Glenferrie Oval from deep in the forward pocket that got us into the 64 finals??
  8. The point of these types of thread?? Presumably to perpetuate MFCSS when in remission after a solid JT draft
  9. like beelelzebub, I would like the ๐Ÿค” back. Isn't Cripps a mid?
  10. So true. Just possibly maybe one could judge this draft in 2 or 3 years, but all this now is just so infantile.
  11. You beat me to it. I am never ever bored hearing the Grand Old Flag, more so at the final siren.
  12. In fairness I suspect that Henderson was always going to be a fringe fill-in player. Always not expected to be top 24. That said depth is just so important as injuries are inevitable - Hendo is a mature bodied replacement.
  13. So, he can throw and get away with it, whinge to umpires with impunity and hit opponents and fool the tribunal? Welcome.
  14. And wasn't Jeff #1 pick for Freo? 3 years would have pโ€™d the purple mob off seriously then goes to Demons ๐Ÿ˜ฎ.
  15. Messrs Pendlebury and Harvey say โ€œhiโ€
  16. That would be a great trait to have on our list. But would the receivers know what to do???
  17. I remember seeing cousin Kysiahโ€™s highlights when he was drafted and some, myself included, thought โ€œjust highlightsโ€ ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—
  18. Speaking as a one eyed optimist (who i admit is sometimes wrong) Culley to me is a young player who has fire and enthusiasm, some speed and aggression, who can โ€œmark above his heightโ€ and kicks ok. I remain enthused
  19. Brightโ€™n would be far more accessible ๐Ÿค— No wonder the poster noted the similarity then.
  20. How good is it to hear that some of our younger guys are actually getting guidance and coaching in areas of deficiency, or even just imperfections.
  21. Not that I would ever wish to be thought of as being pedantic, but can something become extinct if it hasnโ€™t ever existed?
  22. Well if the end of year result with Brodie is the same as it was with BBB we will all be very excited.
  23. I saw the movie and was filled with awe when that redhead was introduced as Truscott. And I admit to shedding a tear or two thinking about his achievements on the footy field and in the air, and what an appalling waste of lives the horrors of war bring.
  24. Other than questionable speed, disposal and size, what seriously are his main assets? I really do wish him well, in this his true crossroads season, but continue to be far from optimistic
  25. Thanks to all track watchers Particularly interested in how Kolt, Luker and smaller Max are performing.
