  1. BTW I will go for 9 from 11, 12 & 14. Tough job though.
  2. Nice thread Bobby, hope you don't mind me listing a few who IMO warrant a mention - 4. Peter Giles 5. Neil Crompton 7. Graham Osborne 8. Peter Keenan 10. Ken Emselle 11. Steven Icke 15. 3. No reason to take Woey off the wall jumbo, he will always be remembered for his Brownlow.
  4. Most of us Demons have a bad luck story or two - One of my boys won a signed guernsey in 2005 and couldn't believe his luck. The player looked like being a well above average performer so I payed for the guernsey to be mounted and framed ($350) and it took pride of place in my son's study. Sadly 'twas the number 7 and we all know how Brad turned out although we couldn't question his commitment. Said framed guernsey is now lurking somewhere in the garage.
  5. Sad and I guess very frustrating for Aussie. He has enough trouble with fitness levels without consistent time on the sidelines. His injury worries probably justify the decision of the FD to let him go.
  6. The rucks I have mentioned are by no means dreadful from my observations so perhaps the master is on the money suggesting you are naive besides why would two sides like Port and Gold Coast with no foreseeable premiership window bother with a 29 yo ?
  7. I'm suggesting that Zac Smith, Rory Thompson, Matthew Lobbe and Brent Renouf will completely disagree with you.
  8. Good points Lutz however it's one thing to perform at a draft camp and another in the heat of battle in an AFL fixture as Fat Tony alluded to..
  9. How are the responses coming along Deb, have you heard from JS ?
  10. Nice memories thanks. Pleasant beating that boofhead Thomas !
  11. Whilst it is his second knee reco - the report sounds very positive and we can only hope that the big fella comes back strong. Max really looked the goods in 2011. FWIW I sent him a tweet of encouragement this evening.
  12. One can only comment on what one has seen Jack and in this regard Strauss has been particularly disappointing. His defensive work has been timid and tentative, he does not get hold of the Sherrin often enough and I'm yet to see his much vaunted kicking skills at top level. If you are seeking any confirmation, take a look at the Port game in Darwin prior to his injury and you will see that James was simply terrible in a winning side. He will need to do a great deal more than prance around in peak condition during the pre season to change my view. Mind you, should he improve dramatically and cement a place in the top side, I will be the first to post complimentary remarks.
  13. I was enjoying this thread until I read your comment Lutz. No offence but James will need to improve dramatically on previous efforts to hold down any position in the top side.
  14. Are the times and order of finish to the time trials usually a secret. If so, why ?
  15. "Happy as a bastard on father's day"
  16. I hope that the exodus continues and the GWS mob fail miserably whilst embarrassing Demetriou and his fellow AFL mercenaries Allan and Sheedy are the pits.
  17. Yep 7 hours is a tad too much for a casual lunch - how about a trip to Metricon Stadium in February for the NAB pre season games against Suns and Lions ?
  18. Look after Chip's guernsey for me after the draw Deb until I return, don't want any moths getting to it
  19. Meaningless tripe from an insincere, money hungry individual. TS deserves a little bad karma.
  20. Complete tripe. I remember speaking to Col Garland after he was forced to wear the moon boot for the second time, he didn't raise a smile either. Of course Tom is unhappy, he can't perform that which he has trained his heart out for years to do.
  21. If that is the case then we don't have much depth at all. Strauss has shown nothing to suggest that he is up to AFL standard. Too easily pushed off the ball, lacks grunt and makes poor options. Next please.
  22. Thanks for that Bob. I have 69 images of pre 1930 Demons including another shot of Moodie and a few others from the 1900 Flag team. If ever you are interested I could send them on. I am accumulating images and hope to upload them onto Demonology eventually. I have 439 all told however many pre 1950 players are difficult to find.
