  1. Many thanks, yes it was awesome. Not even myki or food prices could kill the buzz. Loved the pregame, they were up from the warm up (staggered me they played a mini game warm up) bouncing around 5 times the energy of Carlton. Best bit without doubt though was standing next to the interchange in the last qtr, watching the players swapping in sets of 3, looking like hockey players going out to smash someone, they looked fierce amd lethal. Loved that our full strength side looks so dangerous.
  2. @praha This needs fixing in your index: Beat North Melbourne - Last win: Round 5, 2006 (14-game losing streak) But there is another record they need to break... I am going to Carlton vs Melbourne this week (flying in from PNG), since 2006 I have not seen a win live, I have been through a marriage and divorce (I took the ex to a terrible game with North), children, and still no win (from 2007 to 2013 I always made an effort to go to a game, but when time home is so precious, organizing to see a loss became demoralizing and stopped - Summer is by far a better time to come home). I really, really, really want the Dees to break my personal hoodoo because otherwise I am going to be the albatross and I won't want to come back for finals. Admittedly I don't travel to the G much, time of year and working outside of Australia.
  3. This is what we saw in the first year + intensity, late in the game he got a little head knock, heart in mouth moment.
  4. Enough for every AFL player in the country to overdose. Thought 360 last night was a bit soft, what are the chances that some of these drugs he is shifting ends up with AFL players. Cry me a river, this bloke is greedy, full stop, he will get a 4-5 year custodial sentence and do 2 at the very most. If the molly is pure then he is up for large commercial quantity (could get 8 years) but if its 'in mixture' then he just gets done for commercial quantity. Note, sentencing comments are my own guess - not the legislated maximums. there is no good behaviour bond for this [censored]. If I was him I'd be paying one of the other bloke huge money to take the fall. edit - Victorian sentencing manual, am not a sentencing expert, but seems a good case for a category 1 offence. http://www.judicialcollege.vic.edu.au/eManuals/VSM/index.htm#64404.htm
  5. Well you get points for this! top call.
  6. Reading through 2014 I still think we picked the eyes out of the draft, I am a believer in the no DH approach. Round Pick Player Drafted to Recruited from League Notes 1 1 Paddy McCartin St Kilda Geelong Falcons TAC Cup 1 2 Christian Petracca Melbourne Eastern Ranges TAC Cup 1 3 Angus Brayshaw Melbourne Sandringham Dragons TAC Cup Free agency compensation pick (Frawley) 1 4 Jarrod Pickett Greater Western Sydney South Fremantle WAFL 1 5 Jordan De Goey Collingwood Oakleigh Chargers TAC Cup Traded from Brisbane Lions 1 6 Caleb Marchbank Greater Western Sydney Murray Bushrangers TAC Cup Traded from Western Bulldogs 1 7 Paul Ahern Greater Western Sydney Calder Cannons TAC Cup Traded from Carlton 1 8 Peter Wright Gold Coast Calder Cannons TAC Cup 1 9 Darcy Moore Collingwood Oakleigh Chargers TAC Cup Father–son rule selection – son of Peter Moore 1 10 Nakia Cockatoo Geelong NT Thunder NEAFL Traded from Adelaide
  7. Petracca is to St Kilda what Wines is to Melbourne, chances of it changing negligible. Also unlike Port, I don't want McCartin in another year or two...
  8. Never would have believed that Port would become my second team, but if those two are on the list on game day, i'll be cheering.
  9. After R23 I've suddenly gone a bit cold on him. Reckon he's signed with Carlton after that game.
  10. The are many things to like about this rumour. 1. Ending up with Salem, Kelly and Tyson in the same team, swallow that purple. 2. Watching a Scott brother spontaneously combust. 3. Reminding the World of where the centre of the football universe is. 4. Best of all... probably won't happen, but will still make DB choke, the Scotts go shrill, and dominate with the list we have.
  11. I was pretty excited watching Hibberd come off half back, haven't voted yet because i can't place his game - Oh and this song was a genius reference, am not going to be able to forget this for a bit
  12. I think the fact (the real fact not the alternate one) is that we are traumatised as a bunch of supporters by some poor recruiting in the last decade. Having recently reviewed Dom and Salem highlights as well as Kelly and a few others we can call these recruitments a win for the club, that other clubs got Kelly/Cripps/Bont etc is good luck for them, but not something that we obviously stuffed up. I personally think our recruiting staff deserve a big vote of praise, feeling very happy with how we have managed selections and points etc. BTW I don't know how to separate Salem/Tyson/Oliver/Bradshaw/Petracca/Hunt and make a call on who is going to be the best - some people here could make serious coin selling time with their crystal balls, they all look super exciting with no obvious limits yet - Viney seems to have found a level, but the others are still developing into a very bright future for the club. Lastly - the Bont is just incredible, I would take him over anyone else in the comp.
  13. Who hijacked your login? Most optimistic I have ever seen you.
  14. TBH i really wanted to shaft Essendon. Tjat is the only thing i ront like about the deal 29 is fair they just dont deserve it
  15. Him fit in a heart beat, the only blokes I wouldn't trade would be viney/gawn/petracca
  16. I actually think he's done, which is worth nothing as it's not a medical opinion, but to me he is a race horse with a busted leg. Its almost like he is too strong and will never heal well enough to bare all the force he puts on the bone when he plays.
  17. I really felt like Baum lost the plot with citing the Rance incident, and it is also key for me that Viney is front on, not a dirty sniper. The only thing I'm sad about is that he didn't hold the jumper, not smart, but cut lunches he is throwing, or palms shall we say are different to a king hit merchant.
  18. BUMP Glowing in the warmth of two wins and debut of CP, with CO, JT, ANB, Stretch, et al waiting in the wings, I can't help but think Melksham is surplus to requirements. BUT, I haven't ever really paid him much attention so my question/s is: Who would he replace in the current side and/or some of our better depth players? Also is his upside better that the Harmes, Wagner and Hunt who have all come on well early?
  19. I misread my email inbox just now, thought it said 'Oliver to defect' fell off my chair literally.
  20. http://watchafl.afl.com.au/ Viney's tackle made the 1 of the top 10 list, sorry if already posted. I think it's a bit like Howe's MOTY, there are so many he is the default #1,
  21. The 'elite' part for me, and of course this is based on YouTube, is that Oliver own a 'stopwatch'. He presses it and the world stops and he finds a way to dispose of it effectively. Decision making is brilliant. I back this up with the way his teammates ran on the outside when he's in the contest, they expected him to win and use it to advantage.
  22. What I thought was telling in the highlight reel (not mentioned that I can see on the phone) is that when he has or is about to get the ball his team mates take off running on the assumption that he is going to win the contest and deliver the effective disposal. The confidence with which his teammates runs off suggest that they have faith in him, and that he does it regularly. They are not hedging their bets that there might be a turnover. The way he props (as a big fella) selling candy is also huge, if he can keep that up he will upset some defences. His kicking into 50 also looks like it has vision.
  23. I'm with Qwerty 30, ...Last Won a GF... I like that I feel all of these records can fall within 18 months with Roos in Charge.
  24. For me now (after having been in the keep a lid on it crowd) having Hogan in the team is like knowing you own Black Caviar after her first four races. There is nothing you would trade not even Fyfe.
  25. Well first of all, you need to explain why it won't be Paul?
