Well guys it is 51 minutes from the big shut down hope I get to see you all soon. Demonland forever it is much more fun than our actual team.

I would have said bloody tragic Redleg and I doubt it is mate. We have more problems than can be fixed in one years draft / trading period. Sadly it will probably 2014 before we get out of the bottom half dozen. I think the period 2008 - 2011 has been largely wasted. Not a lot to show for all those early picks. Ahh the life of a Dees supporter.

It truely mistifys me how we choose so many players who cannot kick to position and who want to hand ball to each other while standing a metre apart standing still.

Redleg you say that as if we had a choice there is no chance we will finish higher that 3 last if fact I think there is a good chance we will finish second last. looked at the fixture again today and the only side I think we are capable of beating is GCS Based on last two weeks form the second GWS game is 50/50. GWS get to play GCS again they will almost certainly beat them. A win against us and we are level on three wins each Add the beltings we are going to get from Saints, Freo twice and North melbourne we could easily slip below GWS's percentage

Thanks for reminding me Dr I knew as soon as I typed 70's some would remind me of a crap year after then. We have so many options! The thing that annoys me the most about 2012 Dr. is we are in year 5 of a five year rebuild and have gone nowhere. Still the easy beats of the competition, still effectively last but no first draft pick Not that they seem to have helped much. Oh well there is always the next decade to be great again Perhaps 2020's will be our period

May be maurie but his form before the injury was poor and he could not get a gig at senior level when we were getting belted in the first few games and had no mid field players. I would be surprised if he was dropped off the list. IMO he had a good first year and then it has been very lean since then. Just seems to be a player that has not look good under Neeld. Might have been all due to injury or my imagination I just wonder

Yes he did not play well against Sandy redleg but neither are about 10 in the senior team this year.

I would agree Dc in fact I doubt we have had a year this bad since the 70's and we still has 40% of the year to go. It could easily go down as the worst year since 64!

After observering The changes over the last couple of weeks I have come to the conclusion that at the 6th July some players have had there papaers stamped. It appears to me that Morton, Green, Couch, Gysberts, Davey and Petterd are stamped as gone or up for trade at the end of 2012 so lets play other people between now and the end of the year. All below happens in the light of a 10 Goal defeat last week. Davey is injured for one week and comes back via Casey ( after I think his best game of the year in game Vs GWS ) Green Cannot get a game when we have no forwards Couch Upgraded before the season starts plays numerous good games at Casey but cannot get a game at senior level Gysberts Has been back playing at Casey for some weeks but not selected when we are desperate for mid field players Petterd Similar to Green been back from injury for a month now, we are desperate for forwards but cannot get a game Morton We lose two talls through Injury and put in a short guy (who,s form has been poor) in preference to a tall player Looks bad for these guys Am I imagining too much? What do you all think?

Sorry Redleg no amount of fitness will cover a lack of skill and desire. Back to WA for me. Lets face it we are third last on the ladder 5 years into a rebuild. We must have a number of players that are not AFL standard. No. 7 is not on his own but in 9 weeks time 5-6 players should be for the high jump. IMHO no7 is in the lead group

I doubt there is anything that would stir him up, you cannot pull up your socks if you do not have any on Redleg

I am not certain on wyl, you may well be right of course he may be going to both. If you are trying to bait me DC it works every time with N0.7 I am going to the Brisbane game with my brother who is a Gabba Member so we get to eat and sit among the upper crust of Brisbane. It will not look very good to be seen lying on the floor in a fetal position crying. So please No.7 at Casey this weekend. PS Once again I forgot to use chrome!

Not sure that Fitzroy fans would agree with you Redleg. They got dealt some pretty crappy hands in their last two years.

Stop this Redleg I reckon you are mosing us. However it is hard to argue with your idea.

Thanks for the idea DC Yes Mrs OD does sow however not sure she will do the job mate. Bloody Pies fan. However it has given me a great idea for a blanket for No.1 Granddaughter. Now that will put the cat among the piegons! Or perhaps the dee among the pies!

Agree rpfc However as you suggest for some they will take it to the grave. The USA civil war has been over for 150+ years but there is still angst betweenthe north and the south. lets get on with winning games please!

No they are not hatchman. They was a sound case for both sides of the merge at the time. A lot of very loyal dees fans voted to make sure their club in any fashion survived. It is now history But pillorying people from back then achieves nothing. look to the future and embrace all dees fans who buy a membership in 2012 and beyond.

Hip & Shoulder I am not sure how much more the average member can do. - we have helped reduce the $5 million debt to ZERO - we have bought memberships ( 35000 of us) for 5 years of pityful performance on the field - we go to games to support the team knowing full well we are in for a belting most games. What more do you suggest we can do ? -
  23. old dee replied to Redleg's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes it seems we do not have much luck. I seem to remember that a couple of those we drafted knowing they would be out their first year. Gawn and Fitzpatrick I think. I do not take a lot of interest in the fortunes of draftees at other clubs Redleg So I do not know if we are poor by comparsion or not. but like you I think we seem to have a lot of bad luck with these guys. PS you could have added Grimes to that list

I think that during these dark days at the MFC it is very sad that the site cannot afford one thread that is light hearted and does not take itself seriously. We have a multitude of threads with people at each others throats.
