I think I share many of your thoughts DC Actually I am more than a bit numb now the way the team has performed since the end of 2010. I have come to the conclusion that talk of premierships is a waste of time. I guess I should content myself with the fact that I have seen one. Doubt I will again I doubt there are enough years left in my bank I would be happy if the MFC could become good enough to win more games than we lose and not be the runt of the competition.

My god the natives have been restless the last 36 hours. Everyone is at each others throats after the disaster in Darwin. Not sure why it was not a surprise. I am with you there. In fact Redleg I hope we win more games I do not give a stuff where we finish on the ladder. I want the rush of winning. To hell with draft picks we have done that for 5 years. Just win games and worry about drafting in November.

Is it just me? I think I have lost enthusiasm for the season. Left the game on saturday and retired to the pub for a couple before the trip home. My mate said it is three weeks before the next game at the G Just looked at each other and the feeling was who cares. I think the results so far, injuries, certainity of results and "we have been here every year for the last 5" have drained my will. Struggled to get even the enthusiasm to even come on Demonland till yesterday. I think I am over the multi threads on here talking about which players will go, which players to draft etc. When on earth will we have the prospect of making the finals, discussing the possibility of winning games start? Early july and another season is done. I used to worry about losing games now I expect to lose I think the MFC have drained me.

Cam Bruce has announced his retirement from the Hawks. Really a pity it was from Hawthorn and not from the MFC. Should have been at the Dees during 2011. Good luck in the future CB. You gave me a lot of joy over the years at the Dees.

I keep telling you Redleg you are as safe as a church. Port will beat us next weekend and I reckon we will struggle to beat both GWS and GCS. I think there is a chance we could drop to second last by seasons end. We are now seriously running out of player options. The high light for me on Saturday was Green, a few more games like that and he might get one more year.

That is a better chance but we would still have to beat Port. I struggle with more wins than 2 redleg. Now Davey is out for the season does not improve our chances

I have said elsewhere Redleg I reckon there is no hope of bridging the Gap we need to beat Port plus 3 other games to have a pray. Port plus 2 is the absolute most I can see. Even then Port will probably beat GWS so no hope in my opinion.

I have little idea of his future worth Redleg due to injury etc I have seen so little of him. You would have to wonder if he will make it given the injury he has had. Back injuries are not easily fixed long term. But who knows if nothing else his return increases our depth and options which have seem very limited the last couple of months. As you have said often will we ever recruit a player that does not get a serious injury in his first two years?

I would have said bloody tragic Redleg and I doubt it is mate. We have more problems than can be fixed in one years draft / trading period. Sadly it will probably 2014 before we get out of the bottom half dozen. I think the period 2008 - 2011 has been largely wasted. Not a lot to show for all those early picks. Ahh the life of a Dees supporter.

It truely mistifys me how we choose so many players who cannot kick to position and who want to hand ball to each other while standing a metre apart standing still.

Redleg you say that as if we had a choice there is no chance we will finish higher that 3 last if fact I think there is a good chance we will finish second last. looked at the fixture again today and the only side I think we are capable of beating is GCS Based on last two weeks form the second GWS game is 50/50. GWS get to play GCS again they will almost certainly beat them. A win against us and we are level on three wins each Add the beltings we are going to get from Saints, Freo twice and North melbourne we could easily slip below GWS's percentage

Thanks for reminding me Dr I knew as soon as I typed 70's some would remind me of a crap year after then. We have so many options! The thing that annoys me the most about 2012 Dr. is we are in year 5 of a five year rebuild and have gone nowhere. Still the easy beats of the competition, still effectively last but no first draft pick Not that they seem to have helped much. Oh well there is always the next decade to be great again Perhaps 2020's will be our period

May be maurie but his form before the injury was poor and he could not get a gig at senior level when we were getting belted in the first few games and had no mid field players. I would be surprised if he was dropped off the list. IMO he had a good first year and then it has been very lean since then. Just seems to be a player that has not look good under Neeld. Might have been all due to injury or my imagination I just wonder
